Bad worms?

Been seeing a few of these in my soil. Soil is all organic inputs. Top dressed. Not real sure where I picked these things up from. I do use Alaskan humus but never seen them in it before. Question is are they good or bad ?IMG_1952.JPG IMG_1951.JPG

Looks like a meal worm, i cannot say if they are beneficial, i do not think they are harmful to canna, probably feeding on smaller creatures in the soil, how does the plant look?

its a meal worm yes, I have a farm for my chickens (-: if you leave it alone it will turn into a larvae little white guy and then a beetle and then lay more meal worm eggs... I would squish if or give it to the birds though if you arent palnning on needing more lol

Thanks guys. Think I'll give them new homes outside. Any ideas on how they got there? As far as do you think they were in the potting soil or ewc or Alaskan humus. Keep a pretty clean room. Think something could have flown in & laid eggs?

More likely that the eggs were laid in the soil just before bagging... prolly poured out of the bag as an adult worm, that suckers as big as they get... my sugar gliders would get down on that like candy! lol

Its organic.... a bug or two is gonna happen... comes from a lack of pesticides....

the eggs are actually laid by the beetle not the worm (-;

my guess would be there is insect frass (bug poo and shed parts) in your mix its very good fertilizer. the little egg could have been in there or like was said above just in the soil.

WTF? That's your answer? A one liner? Are you a philosopher or a grower? Because if it's not beneficial then it's not wanted. That means it's bad. People like you are the reason I don't get on here unless I have to. Thanks again for your awesome & helpful answer ASSHOLE !!!

I'm glad you two are so helpful to this site. I would suggest if you don't have an answer to a problem, don't post anything. Your jokes aren't funny !!! Go to FB for that. & I'm not 12, what does gtfoh mean?
noted ... going forward, you'll never get help from me. Good luck with your worms
