BADASS BALLAST -Digital Ballast by Advanced Nutrients - Square Wave Technology!!

The scientific basis for the ballast is all sound. A square wave does put out a lot more power than a sine or sawtooth wave of equal peak voltage. None of what AN claims is far-fetched at all. In fact, the technology they're using here is unique mainly in that it's being applied to lighting.

It's very similar to the advances in car stereo amplifiers that made it possible to have massive outputs without devoting your entire trunk to stereo equipment. I nice head unit today puts out more wattage and better sound than the nice custom stereos did when I was a kid.

I see a lot of people calling the ballast and the company names, but those aren't the same people who've actually tried the ballast and seen how well it works. (Because if they had they'd realize, as I know first-hand, that it's a very nice product.)

I USED IT AND CALL Bullshit.. beside the fact that it went out for unknown reasons.. it worked well btu not any better than my phantom.. and the downtime it cost me 6 weeks almost waiting for a new ballast.. when it wasnt even 1 yr old.. its not the product it is the company! not about wether the ballast works or not... an has shitty customer service and high prices

I talked to store owners and they told me straight up they suck. They made the bulbs sing with vibration in one store. In another, they told me to not buy it "cause they are sick of sending the broken ones back to AN"

Hell, I don't think you could actually find one sitting on a shelf somewhere. But if you dig them, then but one. Just know that you were in fact warned

It is a sound principle I agree. But did AN put this principle into practice within the ballast itself, doubtful. Did they use the principle in fancy marketing, you bet.
AN lineup is being dropped from many local grow shops around here. They are scammers and their days are limited...

Are you for real ? magnetics light diminishes quickest are there unificient my 600w was taking 746w my digi is far brighter and it uses 610w
and a final point you can get a digi ballast that runs a 250,400 and 600w for £100 what more could you want. atb TCD

Well of course. If I don't agree with you the only possible explanation is that I'm a liar. It's absolutely impossible for two people to experience different things.

I'm not saying you're a liar because you had a bad experience with your ballast. I'm just saying that mine is great and I don't think your experience is a fair representation of the ballast in general. There's absolutely no reason to be a jerk.

I've had mine for awhile now and I have nothing but great things to say about it. A buddy of mine has a light meter and we used it to measure between his lumatek ballast and my Baddass. Same bulb, same hood. I don't remember exactly what the numbers were but the Baddass was like 10% brighter. He got one not long ago and afaik he hasn't had any problems with it either. I dunno what to tell you about your stores, I don't have trouble finding them.

You don't want a square wave. I'm no EE, but that's definately the sign of a cheap inverter. Like some of the the best inverters (Exceltech & Trace) produce a true or multi-stepped sine wave for home electricity (AC from a DC source). Known about this since 1995. Well at least you don't want a square wave w/sensitve electronics, you can get away w/a square wave running say a heating element.
