My 600 watt bulb just died, stopped working. Maybe 2 runs on this bulb... guess it was too much and yes I dimmed it frequently in the past. The tube is burnt black in places and there is white crystalline particles of some sort in the tube near the bottom as well. The glass itself is discoloured.
The main issue is it stretched my flowering ladies to all hell. Less light output and the spectrum must have been crap. Just putting it out there as a reminder to check your bulbs (if you're not using led). This actually has made me want to go all led. Nothing to replace, and the spectrum stays the same. Got a new mars hydro fc-e3000 bar light on the way. Uses updated bridgelux chips and they bunched the LEDs on the ends and spaced out in the middle. Cheers all.
