I checked my flowering box today & the light was out. The 1000 wt digital ballast went bad I reckon. The fuse checks good & I hooked the reflector/bulb to another 1000 wt mag ballast -it works - so I figure the ballast went bad after only a week. I'll have to send it back to replace.. Has others had problems with the electronic digital switchable ballasts?

it went bad after only a couple weeks. It started shutting off and coming back on after a few minutes a couple of times. I took it back to where i bought it and they sent it in for me , while giving me a loner. Got the call dec 31 after 4 months to come get it. I guess there are just problems with some new ballasts.

Was the ballast cold ? I have a Lumatek400 and during our cold spell I had the ballast on a concrete floor ,cold !I warmed the ballast and it works fine.
No it is mounted on the wall in the room outside my box. Temperature might get down to 55 where the ballast is. I'll call Monday to get them to replace it. I 've got a 400 wt hooked up for now --
