Barney's Farm Acapulco Gold

Hi, I am wondering if anyone had experience growing this strain. I have grown several times and it's still puzzling to me.
I use LED's and my flowering time is twice as long as stated. I count flowering time as when I switched to 12/12, and it
has been roughly 130 days and the pistils are still white, no red receding, and the trichs are still clear as a bell. Do LED's
lengthen the flowering schedule or am I doing something incredibly wrong? It still looks healthy and big, just very slow to
develop. Please spare me the usual bullshit that comes from asking questions such as this, I find them neither witty, funny
nor cute. I'm looking for an honest and helpful answer to my situation, much thanks.

Its a sativa don var, Noway it can be done under 100days..

Flowering starts when calyx beggins

I'm also pretty sure there was some big hubbub over it not being anything near the real Acapulco Gold. Also, more than a few Barney's strains have shown to have much, much longer flowering times than they state in their strain descriptions. But yeah, pretty much any mexican sativa I'm aware of is going to have a much longer flowering time than 12 weeks. More like 14-18.

Any pix?? I'd like to see what those look like. Does anyone know if it's the real deal or just a make believe strain to look like gold? I heard that AG takes 3 solid months+ of flowering? Just looking to relive the 60's (the good part).

gotta take time to let it grow nice big sets of true leaves and branch out . might be sensitive to overwatering or heavy fertilizers. you could try 14 hrs of dark a night if you were in a hurry but I veg some for 3+ months they take all year basically
Hashplant haze 1 only took a couple months to flower DSC00611.jpg

colombian gold-DSC00538.jpg took til late nov. in a greenhouse low yield but its citrus and really unique

I vegged this one fairly long, might have been 3 months. It was kind of hard to figure out its needs, I hope on the next couple rounds I will figure it out better.
I'm in no hurry for it, only thought it was a long bloom time from my normal Indi's.

heres my idea of indica, this c4 I started harvesting last year in early october because of budwormsDSC00474.jpg most harvested end of oct. all top quality right next to it the LA confidential wasn't really ready til oct 25 or 28DSC00479.jpg and still fatter or better to nov 14 about but one could have been older maybe to begin. I just think people want to see fat indica buds for bag appeal but everyone has their own idea. the OG kush was still good from late oct 25-28 but was scraggly by nov. DSC00496.jpg just a couple examples of some harvest windows and old photos of last year outdoor

I'm indo', not outdo'.
Is there much difference between the light quality and the genetics of the plant itself; for flowering time?

oh yeah, one might grow totally different indoors under one light than the other, the thing with haze or 75 percent sativa is beginners or even subcool haha might throw it out because it grows slow at first and seems weak. for commercial production they are not the same. just focus on faster ones for indoors if necessary, they can be potent and tasty. ( oct 25-28 outdoors is +- equivalent to 55 days flowering indoors) in my experience, but the OG kush is the fastest and starts to get ripe after like a month, indoors. but veg longer for more yield

I got nothing but time, I'm curious as to how the last batch compared to this one is going to be.
I chopped much earlier before than I am currently at. So most likely flavor and potency would increase.
Learn more everyday, hooray! :D

Looks nice and healthy, but I don't see that being done in twenty days. Looks like you have probably a bit over a month and a half to be honest. But plants do what they do when they wanna do it. I've got a plant now over 10 weeks and it will easily go another 3. Wasn't planning it that way, but it is what it is.

after a saw that post i understand that there's no way this plant to be ready in 20 days...but there is no problem....more flowering time i'm expecting more yield...
