Grew a while back and finally got the chance to write a report so here it is-
Grow report:
Smoke report:
In conclusion: Barney's may not have the best reputation but they did a great job with this! Although I do question whether or not it's 100% Brazilian like they say it is because it's growth patterns suggest more thai, they definitely stepped up their game on this one! Overall I'd give it a 8.5/10 but if I was more into straight sativas I could totally see myself rating it a bit higher.
Grow report:
- Relatively lanky like any standard sativa but seemed to stretch slightly less than I was expecting once switched to flowering
- Grew well in FFOF soil with a half dose of Jacks Classic Blossom Booster during flowering and cal/mag.
- Very hardy to changes in pH
- Vegged for around 3 weeks and flowering only took around 8, was expecting it to take a few weeks longer but it already had around 20%-30% amber trichs by the end of the 8th week
- Yield was slightly below average, but larger than I expected from a strong sativa with supposed Brazilian ancestry. Ended up with almost 2 ounces of nice dried bud from a single plant grown scrog style with 3 other strains under a 600watt HPS
Smoke report:
- Visual appeal: 7/10... Average density and slightly leafy but completely COVERED in orange hairs and trichomes. Overall decent structure.
- Smell: 8/10... VERY strong citrus/lemon scent, if your not a fan of lemon strains this is not for you! I personally enjoyed the smell and thought it was a nice break from the usual skunky/fruity strains
- Taste: 8/10... Just like it smells, very lemony, especially when used in a vaporizer.
- High: 9/10... Definitely some primo stuff! Straight up clear energetic head high that lasted a good 2-3 hours. I prefer my strains to have a little bit of a body influence as well which is why I only gave it a 9/10 but the head high on this is absolutely euphoric! Should be great for depression and anxiety but might induce some paranoia in some individuals.
