Basic setup advice

If I was to just use 5 cfl's in a closet that's about 8foot height ,3foot depth and 2.5f l, with a small fan on , would this be ok without any venting ? Except for when I open the door. 3 autos grow by the way.

Yes, that should be completely fine with only 5 small CFLs.

I have 5 CFLs in my Mom/clone area which is ~3.5x1.5x3' in size with no fans at all and the temps stay between 71-81*.

You will be OK on heat, but you are going to need some fresh air exchange, especially when plants get larger. They need fresh air, and it will probably get too humid without an exchange.

Also 5 standard cfls will not give you enough light to grow 3 autos.

You'll need about 5 per plant during flowering.

Unless the cfls in question are the large E40 style with +100w (actual not equivalent).
