BCNL grow boxes, are they legit?

I'm not ready to start my own grow yet. But I'm planning for my cannabis-filled future. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to invest in a grow box from British Columbia Northern Lights. I don't see myself building my own kick-ass grow box (I can't build anything for dick), and I really don't know a thing about growing. I've heard that they are really easy to use, because they have built in heat, light and feeding controlls. So....have any of you guys used these things? They seem legit enough, but I don't know if it's the best thing for a guy who has no idea what he's doing.

thats ridiculous prices. It looks nice and sturdy, probably even well thought out, but you could buy a grow tent for like $200, even cheaper on amazon or ebay. I built a 5x5x6 enclosure out of PVC fittings and PVC pipe for $150.

the difference is that the grow box is turn key... and almost automatic which is what you pay for... however most people like to do it from scratch... it gives you a sense of pride and ownership over the crop and its facility.

honestly for that price... you could build a very nice closet system and use the other half for a vacation...

interested in the owners of such things to chime in.

I've been looking at grow tents, and I think that they are cool. I'm just not sure. Hydroponics seems a bit advanced for a first-timer (I'm used to just putting stuff in dirt). The issues i have when I consider whether or not to grow are the lighting schemes, the nutrients (what kind to use), and the size. But other than that I'd have easy access to planting soil at my local hardware store, and I think Home Depot sells the kind of lights I need....
