I put in a screen to scrog, and added hinges so I could get pots in under the screen at the start and end of runs

Unfortunately pc fans dont have a whole lot of power to move air through filters and such... how coarse is the carbon? I agree with kevin, try doubling the fans for more suction, however id put one before the filter and one after, the same as they do with them on cpu coolers in computers so they work in a push pull configuration

Try building the filter flatter and wider. More surface area for the air to flow through. Leave a gap between the fans and filter so it uses more of the surface area. Stacking two fans works best as mentioned earlier. Ziplock containers are about perfect.

Maybe used two stacked filters if one set doesn't cut it. Or run the leds at 350ma and see if it's better

Could you run a separate sealed air channel for the back side of the heatsink? You could move more air with pc fans if you don't need to filter it. That would also keep a majority of the hot air from reaching the grow area.

If you are worried about the smell may I suggest oma pro gel, I used it for my stealth grow and set it in a container with some water/kitty litter to make it last longer, set it right outside the out take fan and it should take care of the smell for your one small plant

Are you sure you're going to have the room for a 50cm plant. I'm only asking because there's still a distance limitation with the led.
