best distiller for oil extraction

I am looking into buying a distiller to recapture the alcohol. But I do not know much about the distillers out there and have been doing a lot of looking around. I have run across the waterwise 4000, mega home counter top water distiller.

Can anyone out there suggest a distiller that wouldn't get too hot to burn the oil but that is reasonably priced.

I also heard that people were getting a much higher extraction rate using the distiller which I am the most interested in. So anyone using a distiller, a little guidance would be most helpful

I built my own still to recover solvents. Also use it to cook up camp stove fuel to extract pure naphtha for making oil or cooking up some EverClear from a simple sugar, water and yeast brew.

Check out this site for recipes and all things still related. HomeDistiller.org

A unit made for distilling water isn't designed for alcohol and other low boiling point solvents but might work.

Yes, water distillers will work for a few applications, but ypu have a lot more versatility with an alcohol/essential oil distiller. The ones listed above are for alcohol and oil distillation. The megahome has a water version as well, so make sure you get the correct model.
