Did you read he's got a 300-400 budget?? Good luck buying a COB unit to flower 10-12 plants for that price!!!!!

Go do some reading. Figure out how cool you need your lights to run. Your vent/cooling situation will determine how cool you need to run.
You want leds cheap, you're building it. Period. Otherwise check CL for people building for you. Or get a warrantied fixture and pay up.
4x4= 8 cxm22 on 2hlg 185h-48a. ~ prob build under $400 with common sense. (shout out to cobkits).
I run these tents all day
1.2lbs avg yield on fast growers (7w+8w).
576 watts active cooled. Add your inkbird controller and an 8" can fan (done.)

This is what you should be looking at if you wanna grow 10-12 plants. 10-12 depending on how big will even be too many for this light.

refusing DIY is keeping you from some of the best lighting available. HLG's Quantum Board. takes 20 minutes to build and they even provide clear and easy wiring diagrams, hell, there are even videos now.
Here's my 4 board light running at 363 watts at the wall. Plants got away from me........with some training they'd have REALLY pounded out buds! Not that I'm complaining lol!

No LED for the price range is going to light up enough for 10 plants. Good luck, but honestly for that amount of plants i think you will need to spend between 1,000 and 1500$.

What you're asking for exists.
Go to spectrum king and pick up their 140w Cob Cree LED closet case, ir two if u can afford it. Replaces a 400w hps. Over 1g per watt.

Oh and you can realistically do about 20-30 plants in a tight sog, like with 2l.

I use their SK400 and it works great. Replaces a 600/1000 HPS. I do a 4x4 with one light

There is no light that can replace a 400w hps with 140w, it would have to have basically 100% efficiency, where did you even get these numbers for by the way? a 400w hps puts out about 130 PAR Watts. The best quality LED requires about 300w to replace a 400w hps
Here's a 300w COB fixture , with some of the best COBs on the market, it produces the same PAR watts as a 400w hps

This is the main problem with LED's there is soooo much misinformation spread, it makes LEDs look bad. It reminds me of the blurple days.
