Best lens for Citi COB 1818 / 1825

Hi everyone. I’m trying to get a more even photo distribution on my Citi 1818 and 1825 COBs. So I can run less of them and still get uniform light distributed along the ladies. I’ve also heard the loss from the material itself in the lenses isn’t worth it and that I should just use more. I’ve read a few posts with people sharing their experiences but didn’t find anything conclusive. Are there any conclusive information on this? I just hate wasting photons on the walls

I Like Using Reflectors On My Cobs :hump:

Thank you Dawg. If using these with say the 1825 or 1818, what height would you keep these off the canopy and do you ever worry about hot spots? Also, have you ever played with FN15379?

run bare cobs and raise them higher

lenses and reflectors only focus light and will do the opposite of what you want (even coverage with as few cobs as possible)

I Start Mine Off At 35 Inched Above Seedling And In Flower I Run About 16-18 Inches Above Canopy Level For The Best Penetration Plus Area Coverage :hump:

Thanks Cobkits. What sort of spacing on the 1812 do you recommend on a 2*4 or 4*4 table

depends on how hard you run them among other variables, there is no single answer
Ok. Sounds like I need a good light meter for LEDs. What would you recommend? Also, I want to run them where they’re efficient while still effective. I’ve been reading I should aim for 800-1000ppfd?

depends on a number of factors . 500-1000 is probably a more general range

800-1000 ppfd is good if your plants are strong and healthy

hydrofarm par meter seems like the best option under $200

Those lenses are HUGE! Which COBs do you run and did you add UVA / UVB? I’m looking to add some in
Nope No UVA/B That Light Is A CXB 3590 And The One Pictured Below Is Vero29's . Yes They Are Huge You Need At Least A 140mm Heat Sink :hump:
