i was looking over soils. right now i am using mg organic but i am interested in fox farms ocean forest or light warrior. also i looked at happy frog, which one would be the best for indoor growing. i have 1 week old babies, but would like to transplant to new pots and soil soon. also for flowering there are tons of nutes, what are some decent nutes? and anybody got any links for the cheapest prices on these soils and nutes. i have some sights in mind but wanna know if there are any cheaper sites. good answers get a rep(dont think it works anyways lol).

here is a link to find a store near you....FoxFarm Soil & Fertilizer Company

i used mg organic my first grow and did not like it, too much wood in the soil that will suck the nutes from the plants. starving them from what they need.

i use fox farm for clones...this soil is full of nutes and hot for the early seedlings, but i have had great results both ways. i now mix scotts top soil and more perlite with the ocean forest with great results. i also use there nutes..grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom.

as far as cost, you should not pay more than $20 a bag.

also this soil has a ph of 6.4, and no nutes are needed for the first three weeks. that is a big plus for growing the fruit we love.

hell yeah i read that it might be a little hot for young plants but i should mix scotts top soil and ocean forest along with perlite. i learned a little while back the mg perlite has nutes so i am lookin for different perlite. my first grow i think i used mg organic in a green bag with tomatoes on the front. now i am using mg moisture control but it has wood and bark in it and some of the plants have a little yellow in them. i have a cheap ph meter that doesnt seem to work well. so on the agenda for me is scotts top soil , ocean forest, fox farms nutes and a decent ph meter. thanks for the help and i have seen some of the beautiful plants you have grown big mike. also i am wondering the difference in oc forest, happy frog and light warrior?

i found that shultz perlite does not have any nutes, but now cant find it at any of the local stores. damn ganja growers buying all the good stuff.... since, i have been using the mg perlite with no problems. i would buy from the hydro store, but he wants too much.

the light warrior is more of a seed starter that i found would be good mixed with the ocean forest, just dont want to spend the money.

did you check the map to see were its available in your area ?

also if your mixing soils try and get a rubbermaid bin (not clear) that will hold all the soil mix. great way to store and mix the soil.

here is what i do.......1 bag ocean forest (1.5cf)..1 bag scotts top soil (1cf)..i bag perlite (shultz / mg)

:peace:

edit : here is a link for a ph meter i just got in the mail today..........* PH TESTER REVIEWS * post your comments
