What would you say is the best, to let them get pretty dry and then water them or water more frequently. I have 2 gallon pots and I water 1 L every 4 days. Someone told me it would be better to water less water every day, like 2 cups a day on a 2 gallon pot.

Anyone have advice?

Let the plant get dry. This gives the roots a chance to breathe oxygen. Watering less often but with more water. This will promote deep strong root growth, as the roots will search for water. Go to the NOOBS section :)
