I'm not a vegetarian.

And I'd much rather clean and butcher my own animal that I killed vs some animal that gets corralled into a hallway and marched to death in an assembly plant.yuck!
Oh so you not only like to murder the animal but also skin and rip theyr guts out and butcher them...the thought of gutting a animal gets me queezy...my point is doing that out of necessity is one thing, but to just want to do it.....I dunno just seems odd to me, but different strokes n what not

I can kinda relate to what you are saying.
I would never be able to do that shit, but my whole family loves it. One thing you're not picturing in the whole kill of them beautiful animals is the fact that they eat it.
They love the hunt(lol) but they do eat it and love it. Not for me, but that's wut up.

We eat factory farmed animals. All bad

Experienced hunters will tell you that the real work starts after you kill something -- and the adventure is over. No more camping & 4-wheeling; gotta get that meat outta there. :-(

Dang you're not helping my winter serenity much either!!

Seriously, spring bear? My call would have been fatty fatty autumn bear ... I imagine wagyu-like meat ... what is the reality; why is spring bear better eatin'?
In the fall bears around rivers eat fish (given a run which most have here) which taint's the meat so bad you can't even cook it in the house for the dogs (they won't eat it either btw) cause it stinks like rotten salmon. However in the spring they eat a mostly vegetarian diet & the meat is very tasty (if they don't happen to find a whale on the beach).

I would much rather eat meat I harvest and process myself because I know exactly what went into getting it.
Relying on supermarket Styrofoam lined "meat" I think I'll take my chances with my method.

Actually ++rep, honestly if we want to eat meat we should all have to self-harvest. It changes everything

Meh, beats dying of cancer, alzheimers, etc.

PS: U R an idiot. Humans were HUNTER/gatherers *way* before we learned to farm. You are SOL if the food chain offends you.

You missed the one thing that would make this a true horror story ... after all that work our hero ruins the meat

Yea, humans are also one of the biggest threats to the wellbeing of the earth...so what? I eat meat daily, I'm just pointing out the difference between needing to do somthing and wanting to...so much meat goes bad and gets thrown out so I don't see the need to go out and kill somthing when there is a abundance of it already

Hmmm, my local Albertson's, Spencer's and Von's don't ever have anything other than beef, pork, lamb, chicken and turkey much less a nice human rump roast. I have gotten lucky by parking near the back of Food for Less tho

^^^^^^ this is the definition of hypocrisy.
I was waiting for it....took you long enough...but not really hypocrisy, like I said there are plenty of animals that are killed to be food for people and a lot of that meat goes bad so not eating it is going to waist and the animals die in vain...obviously you don't get what I'm saying and tbh I'm not suprised
