brett was the shit..all around good guy
gsxrboy22 - I agree Brett was a great player...one of the few players you could really look up to. I remember his debut the anouncers couldnt pronounce his name and throughout the game they kept laughing and making comments about how to properly pronounce his name. I remember thinking then "this guy has something."

Nubb - you can do it and the hydro drip buckets really give you a good medium in which to do it. its ALOT of work if you want to pull it off and feel satisfied. Alot of tieing and twisting, maneuvering especially if you have limited space. You can tie down the fan leaves too make sure they get light but move them out of the way of the lower sites.

With soil I believe it would be easier because the hydroton in the buckets is very light weight and the entire main stem shifts drastically when the buds start getting heavy and thats a bitch in and of itself.

Take your fan leaves and tie them to your main stem at an angle so the lower bud sites can get plenty of light yet the fan leaves still receive light as well. you can do this with those twist ties OR some of those plastic handcuff ties the ATF uses (they are similar to those anyway you can get them at the home depot)

depending on the strain you may want to spread the branches out a bit or you may want to tie them closer together again this depends on the strain and your space situation.

Get creative I used to cut some of the lower branches off during the later stages of vegetation because I knew they werent going to get light. I also used to use a 250 watt HPS standing vertically facing the lower half of the plants to give them extra light. You can shift this light every so many hours to cover all the plants...the cfl idea sounds much better but this method did create some huge buds

watch your branches some may snap if you dont keep a close eye on them...best of luck

well, I have a really big closet I'm gonna do this in, so it will still be alot smaller than a whole room, and I would think you'd put just a little flowering nutes in along with the veg nutes, or maybe try some foliar feeding with the flower ing nutes. but damn if this shit work, it is gonna be awesome!

i love it. thanks lion. loving the information. I think i am going to go soil this first run because i have some extra ocean forest i have yet to use. MJ- i think the spraying idea might be money. Maybe a combination using less flowering ferts in the medium and spray more. Next question.....how big to veg the bastard.

idk, I'd just wait till it fills up like a foot of the screen, then pick out some branches and let them grow away from the screen. once those are big enough to actually yeild alot, start flowering them. and all the other branches would keep growing, so it continues to get bigger and bigger!.......man our ideas put together fucking rock!

When growing monster plants I used to veg 4-5 weeks.

this was hydro so add about another two weeks maybe in soil.

It also depends on the strain. I used to have an AK47 x Green Giant cross that was excellent for growing monster plants it produced huge potent buds.

That strain grew like bushes

I'd recomend SOG.. Reasoning is I myself trying growing some large plants vegged forever and everything and when all was said and done I yieled 3x as much from my SOG and my SOG actually finished before the large plants which had been plants close to a month earlier=)..... Check out my grow journal Im using a single 1000w hps with a nice size SOG under it=)
