Bill HR4498 was introduced Monday to reschedule cannabis to a schedule 2 drug, allowing doctors in every state to prescribe cannabis. This bill needs traction, call or write your local representatives right now and tell them to support this bill. (Committee members names and more info in comments)

It is improvement, but Im not sure about this law, I mean schedule 2? They still have it equal to cocaine and morphine? Which means they still dont understand it fully.... Not sure whether this is good? Looks like it could be ridiculously regulated and manipulated as a prescription? On the other hand its far better than schedule 1.... and could keep the money in it? I would support anything moving in the right direction, just trying to play devils advocate...

Baby steps. It doesn't seem logical that it would ever go from schedule one to, say, legalized. But being schedule one is a hindrance to many things. You raise valid concerns about regulation etc but we'll face that no matter what. I think it's a good thing to remove it from schedule one.

Ya, I agree it is good to get it down from schedule 1, if nothing else.... which is not reality at all... Thanks...

The primary thing Schedule I does is keep out corporate interests. You can't manufacture cocaine or morphine for your own use, and you won't be able to grow your own Schedule II cannabis.

Ya see I knew there's as catch..... That is ridiculous.. sounds good but they try to mask so much... I dont take anything at face value these days..

They always seem to pair this non-lethal marijuana with all kinds of high-powered drugs.... Someone in law should gain a slight tolerance to weed so they understand what they are trying to tell us......Its all B.S.

Not sure how I feel as a caregiver... If patients get squeezed do you think caregivers will be next? Maybe..Big Pharma takes over with heavy regulation?

Im not supporting this bill sounds like a nightmare.....unless it exempts marijuana from all the pharmacy requirements... Could be a real nightmare... Two steps back...
