The diamond brite 6 is a Rebranded Apollo 6 led from cidly. You can get same light for around $250 with shipping from cidly. That light will cover a 2x3 at most.

It's all subjective. I use a Blackstar 240 and grow 2 plants at a time normally with a 250 watt CFL as a supplement and I consistantly get good smoke. Good smoke to me might be crap to someone else though.

The Apollo.you can what ever spectrum you want. I suggest getting an aquarium panel. The grow panels have a limit of 5 whites or blues per module due to high voltage.the aquariums run on 2 plugs. They run different drivers. So you can have as many whites or blues as you want. With less wattage than grow panels. But cheaper too. The Apollo 8 aquarium runs for $ 208 plus $100 for shipping from China.

Check this thread. Aquarium Apollo 8 all white leds

Hello Everyone:

I do have experience and statistics on both and will share this info. I work for Health Canada, and many people may know that we have changed our rules and the law about home growing. People may not believe we do it to protect our citizens, but it is the accurate truth. From that we have asked potential licensing growers to submit indoor testing results. The current summary of test results is as follows:

a.) Recommendations: DiamondBrites from Greenlamp Canada : our dry weight results on species show 15.8% increased weight per watt drawn. THC percentage is a separate study which has factors of nutrient supplementation as variables, thus THC% is not published.

b.) Blackstar: modest results with dry weight yield 17% less than DiamondBrites.

c.) CStorm and Magnum lights 22% less yield dry weight yield than DiamondBrites or Blackstar.

d.) Generic units and Flat Panels: Significantly inferior: 65% less dry weight yield.

In these initial studies, growing rooms were segmented into brand types (including HPS and MH and CFL room baselines). Plant numbers were equal in each room. Soil and nutrients were equalized to all rooms, lighting schedule equalized in all rooms.

Science is science. Take from it what you will.

For potential commercial license growers in Canada. We grant licenses based upon growth tests, cleanliness of production and harvest care, and content analysis and microbiological testing. For further advice on how to progress with proper licensure, please ask a person with in-depth knowledge and internal information for protection of the health of Canadian citizens who require medical marijuana access.
