Blue cheese flowering time?

Advice pls peeps
im due to switch my barneys farm blue cheese over to 12/12 in 11 days which will be 5 weeks vegging.
im just wondering how long roughly it wud be best 2 flower them?
i was thinking about 6 weeks but ive been told to do it 4 about 9.
Any ideas any1.
im growing in a 1.2m x 1.2m 2.0m tent with a 600w hps,and using biobizz grow,bloom and topmax.:joint:

Blue Cheese is an 8-10 week strain. For me I find it just right at week 9. The longer you wait the more "couchy" the high will be. Anything sooner than 8 weeks is a no no though. I find the buds explode weeks 6 thru 8. You will kn ow what i mean when you start too look for some redening of the pistil haris and come week 8 they are still completly white right to the top! Its a long strain but worth the wait, yeilds well and tastes and smells abseloutly fantastic. It is sensitive to nutes, especially nitrogen. The leaves will claw like a rams horn befor any of the leaves show signs of nute burn so watch for that and you will be bale to catch over fert early.

8-9 weeks max is the norm for this one. you should like it. FYI it can be taken by week 7, doesnt really pack on after that. Week 8 is a safe bet and what I always do on BC. Also it is VERY sensitive to light leaks so make sure your room is dark with lights out. If not they will get really airy and buds will be about 1/2 size.

six weeks does sound preety short i cant reaaly say 2 much cause im bout to flower my first plant and at six weeks definatley was to small to hold any large nods ooo also i heard blue cheese is sum sick lookin bud so wen u do bud it post sum pics also wher u get the seeds from

hi will all the leaves claw or just the top leaves as i am in week 3 ov bloom under a 600 hps and sum ov the top leaves r clawin abit diddnt no if it was heat damage plz help

im confused ... this is my 1st grow and all seemed to be ok, but... im in my 6th week of flower with uk blue cheese and my plants look healthy except for im confused with its behaviour .. some of the hairs (pistons) changed colour jus 3 weeks in, my buds look very small . i trained my plants to grow thick and the over a metre tall. they are in a separate flower room (fully reflected) with a 600watt hps and a 250watt CFL as a side light .. temperature is kept roughly at 78º , fresh air in at bottom and extraction at the top.. i use only organic Canna products and they are in Canna Coco medium .. and now as i thought i was in my final weeks i was about to give it the fist of its fresh water stage (no food) ready to havest in 2 weeks. but now new growth (top leaves, white pistons) is showing but only on top of a couple of heads.. im sorry for no pic's as im using PS3 not PC ... can anybody give me a rough grow schedule for these pain in the ass plants?? i am also veggin two more blue cheese and four Jack Herer, and i have blue berry propagating .. god help me with this lot lol.

been told BC needs 9 weeks flowering from a couple different sources, so dont be disheartened, should be well worth the wait. How long you veg for?

here is at 5 weeks of flowering for my blue cheese. I just had to move it due to someone moving in with us so I moved it from grow room to my closet so slight mess but cleaning it out day by day during light cycle. was a vocal booth for home studio (hence sound proofing material)

btw you cant see them all in the pic cause they werent all set up but there are 10 lights in there. All CFL's with a fan in there too. 4 42 watt cfl's. 1 50 watt. 1 grow light bar and the rest are 26 watt cfls.


for nutrients I use "miracle grow bloom booster and plant food spikes" all organic soil.

hey phaze81 im growing bc as well at the moment in oxypot not in coco, im at 2 weeks flowering at the monent they are about 9" tall im gonna veg for another week or so than flower for 8/9 weeks. are you using canna bio on coco? and how long did u veg it for?

it will take 10/12 weeks from when u start your 12/12 lights at week 8 from switching the buds will be fat and juicy make sure the leafs start to turn purple before u cut them down

my first grow i thought they ware ready choped at 10 weeks the second grow i let it grow extra 2 weeks and the potency tast was 2 times better it was start of week 12 from turning 12/12 it started to get a tint of purple on the fan leafs

the plant will be ready when its ready 7/8 week from 12/12 is way way to early for blue cheese the first week or 2 of 12/12 its still in grow stage flowering stage happens when the buds are starting to form not when u switch to 12/12 in my opinion but im a nob :P

I put them into 12/12 and by the end of that week they had hairs/pistils (after 1 and a half months VEG), there in week 8 now and looking good there are some purple leaves but i would guess they have about 2 weeks left maybe longer as they are still making flowers , mine liked nutes i gave them the full amount on the bottle and fed every water same in flower I used HESI (recommended) 2 days into week 8 im giving them only water ill post some pics to show the difference from week 7 to week 10 or whenever they are ready
(last time i did these the crystals had purple in them )

i have a blue cheese going right now from big buddah and its looking like its going to be 9-10 weeks before its ready. on week 6 now and it still has alot of filling out to do.

medium and nutes shouldnt play much of a role in how long it takes to harvest. lighting will prolong it if you have inadaquate lighting but it wont speed it up no matter how many watts your pumping. your not growing the same blue cheese i am as yours is a barneys farm and mine is big buddah so there going to be different versions of blue cheese with sometimes verry verry different genetics and charecteristics.

anyways hope this helps, the only true answer really is to wait and find out for yourself then you will know for any clones you take.

yeah your not supposed to start the first week of flowering untill you have little tiny pistol cluster heads forming on the tops of the budsites.

yeah after 6 weeks of veg the plant should be showing pre flowers even in veg stage, once this happen when you flip your lights your not really "forcing" the plant to flower as its already ready to go.
