I have no personal experience first off. With that outta the way i do know some things. Things and things of things with things. But yeah Big buddha
blue is better than barney. Most stable genetics, germ rates, etc.
The cough looks/sounds better than the berry. So imho, go with cough.

I am currently growing Seedsman WW along side of White Berry. I have been growing the WW for over a year and this is my first run of WB. So far, it seems to be along the same lines of the WW...a lil smaller heighth wise...about the same "bushiness" so I think you will be OK growing them side by side. I am only in week 3 of the WB flower and stretch was very comfortable for my grow cab. Personally, I think the WW and WB grown side by side will work well.

I am not sure about the flower times of the WB yet. The WW will flower for 63-70 days depending on your tastes. 63 days is 90% cloudy - 10% amber. 70 days is about 50-50 cloudy vs amber.

I also have the Barneys Farm Blue Cheese but I have no where to put it. I am saving it until I need a new strain to try. Hope all this rambeling has helped!

what do you mean by 90% cloudy 10% amber

The trichomes. Thats how I decide when to chop. If you have a hand held scope, you can keep an eye on your trich's as the plant matures. After you have harvested a couple of the same plant at different "ripeness" you will be able to distiquish which is the better for your tastes.

Go check out Grow FAQ's I think there is a good article about Trichomes. It is really fascinating to watch the trichs ripen.

what would you say the taste difference is with WW when the trichomes have a high amber color compared to when they are low.

Taste wise, I can't really tell much difference. The high is different though. Widow is a hybrid about 60/40 sativa/indica and the closer you can keep the trichs 100% cloudy, the more of a sativa high, which is what I prefer. You can still smoke yourself into oblivion with Widow but I just like it best with just a touch of Amber.

One of the best things about growing your own herb is your ability to control the type of high you like. Whenever I get a strain I really like, I usually play around with the harvest dates...whether or not it does best with or without topping...what the optimum nutes it likes and so on. Once I get a strain "dialed in" I will grow it for several years.

Good luck with your Widow...it's one of the few strains that actually lives up to the hype. :joint:

I wouldnt even mess around with white widow, ive grown it and it doesnt smell dank, doesnt smoke dank, doesnt taste dank, it just looks bomb, go with blue cheese and strawberry caugh, i just started my white berry too small to give any comments.

Dont go with barneys farm though, ive heard there seeds are crap and never germ well,
Go with Big Buddha Blue Cheese, the best looking seeds ive had and they all germed in two days, here is a pick of my big buddha cheese's

I respect your opinion I just don't agree. Maybe my definition of "dank" is different than yours. I very seldom try to compare what I grow with others but I have had the best compliments from my Widow than anything else other than Kali Mist. I guess thats another good reason to have 100's of different strains to choose from. :weed:

My WB is coming along very nice. I can't wait to watch this thing flower. I have some Blue Chees and Strawberry Cough just waiting on an opening in my veg cabinet. Your cheese is very strong and healthy looking. +Rep to you.

Look, I really don't want to get into a pissing contest with you about herb and YOUR tastes. However, you propping up those "Cali Purple strains" tells me all I need to know about your tastes. More power to ya! Yes, I grow a Kush but it's NOT purple. I also grow a Sativa - Kali Mist and a couple of hybrids...WW and AK47. You can enjoy your Foo-foo strains and I will enjoy my "shit" strains.

korn534...yes, I have had good success with topping. Actually, the WW I have likes "fimming" better than topping but I have had alot of success with both. The yields are better by far and the plant really seems to like it. I actually discovered it by accident. I left town for a few days and when I got back, one of my Widows had grown into one of my lights. When I trimmed the burnt area, it was the same as fimming. The results were outstanding so I still fim most of my Widows. I also still like those big huge single colas that I get without any pruning.
