Bodhi seeds lemon lotus

This is my first grow journal, i will try to be as detailed as possible but keep in mind i go by the beat of my own drum and have a couple different projects to juggle which often weigh into my decision making. My nursery is a closet and i have 2, 2.5x2.5 flowering tents for test runs, an off site flowering room i share with a partner and a couple other people i work with/advise in their gardens. Questions and comments are welcome and encouraged so long as they do not take away from the journal
System overview: for seed pops and cloning i have 2 super sprouter t5s. Seeds are popped in a paper towel with fulvic/humic (nectar for the gods zeus juice) and mykos wp. I have a soil mix for seeds: black gold potting soil lightened up with coco coir and extra perlite. This mix gives me a mild soil with good drainage to keep from staying too wet. I clone using rockwool cubes, rootech cloning gel, zeus juice and nectar ph down (phosphoric acid) in a super sprouter humidome with indirect light. This is all done on a shelf in my closet in a 20"x20" area (2 seed trays) My veg area is 2'x3' lit by 10 cree led bulbs in a diy setup. My main soil is promix hp with worm castings and happy frog jump start dry fert. For nutes i use nectar for the gods: medusa, gaia, zeus, herc, athena, demeters, aphrodite, bloom khaos and ph up/down (olympus and hades)
I also innoculate with slf-100, mykos wp, and mammoth p. I have replaced hygea hydration with npk raw yucca and will be replacing athenas aminas with npk raw omina. These are just more ecnomical and dont compromise the integrity of the nutrient program. moving on!
7/22: 6 lemon lotus seeds wet. I color code each strain and give each seed a number. This number will stay with the plant and all cuts from that plant until there is only 1 cut left, my keeper. Lemon lotus gets blue because yellow was taken already! I use an upside down plastic takeout container, keeps them dark and moist and tucks up in my closet nicely. The top shelf stays nice and warm too.

7/24: all seeds had popped within 36 hours but it was 4:00am and i didnt feel like getting all dirty and what not so i planted them the next afternoon. IMG_0741.JPG

7/26: all have broken through the soil. This is a shot of my clone/seedling area. 1, 18" and 1, 24" t5 are both mounted underneath the shelf directly over the seed tray in the rear as i prefer clones to get only indirect light. The clone tray is almost always full, if i have no seedlings, i can use the back tray for smaller clones when i put them in dirt.

The closet is on a 18/6 light schedule. Lights are out 8:00am-2:00pm. I propped the seedling tray up about 4" to keep them from stretching but i forgot when i did this.
Here is a shot of my veg area:

7/26-8/2: they have been getting 20-50 ml of water a day including 1 watering with some zeus juice, yucca, slf-100and mykos wp. That watering was 25 ml of that solution. I put 0.2 ml of zeus and slf, a couple drops of yucca concentrate and about 1/8 tsp of mykos in 200 ml of water. The leftover was donated to a plant in need. I dumped it in the plant in front of me. Water is filtered via a 2 stage filter, sediment and carbon, to remove chlorine/chloramines. Ph is 7.0 and 75ppm to begin with. All waterings have included a couple drops of yucca extract.
Yucca: 4.2 grams of npk raw yucca powder in 60ml of distilled water. This makes a liquid concentrate i can use at the rate of 1ml per gallon, though i dont worry about being super accurate, a little more is ok.
8/4: starting their 4th node. I was feeding my big girls so i gave the babies a dillute feeding. 20ml of mixed nutes and 30ml of water. My standard veg mix is 5ml each: medusa, gaia, zeus, athena and demeters and 15ml of herc. Ph to 6.2 with olympus up and add 5ml slf-100. This is all per gal.

8/7: day 15, finally current! Tonite they will get another dilluted feeding. This time i may go with 30/20 instead. The next time i feed will be full strength from then out. I may lower the tray a bit too, pretty coose to the light, the taller ones less than an inch from touching it! 2 of them got a little stretchy and i had to help em out a little. I use a bamboo skewer and some wire to prop em up. Theyre held up very loosely and i move them and the wire occasionally to encourage them to support themselves. I have done this several times to great effect.

8/8: i did give them 30/20 50 ml feeding on 8/6 and ended up going back and giving them another 20ml at the same ratio. Took away their crutches on 8/7. Today i topped off their containers with straight promix to help hold in the moisrure. I usually do this as once they get going my seedling mix dries out a little too quick. The taller of the 2 with crutches is standing on its own nicely now, the other, not so much. Ill give it another day to see if it perks up. If not ill give it a little more assistance. Self induced, i shouldve had them closer sooner. Plenty of vigor, wouldnt even consider culling for "weakness". Also gave 40 ml of plain water after the top off. I always moisten promix before use as well. 75-100 ml of water to 4 of the scoops i use gives me a great consistency. Moist but still crumbly and easy to distribute.

Syringes are one of my favorite tools. I use this one To water babies. Prevents washouts and allows me to water very evenly.

Dropped plants about 2" further from the light. So far very pleased with this batch of babies!

8/11: gave them 50 ml water each.
8/12: first full strength feed using my standard veg mix (5ml each medusa, gaia, zeus, athena, demeters. 15ml herc and 1 ml yucca concentrate. Ph with olympus and 5ml slf-100). I also dropped their tray another couple inches. 7th node is just poking out, when it opens and the 8th starts i will top the 8th node. Im guessing later today or tomorrow. Everybody is standing tall and proud on their own and looking very happy. Im noticing lower node side branching devoloping quite well, guessing these will not need much encouragement to bush out. Nice!

8/25: got them all transplanted in my standard issue custom pots. A couple strategically placed holes to catch circling roots and prune em off. IMG_0954.JPG IMG_0955.JPG
The tops have grown out and ive started pinching them to promote lower growth. Wont be long until i can take clones to sex these babies. IMG_1183.JPG

8/28: peeked in on them last night and noticed they were getting pretty close to the light. Needed to shift a couple things around to move them and thought they would be fine another day. I thought wrong. Not bad at all but i dont want to see any light burns! Still looking great and now down in the general population veg area. Love the serrations! They have a very mean looking leaf. IMG_1202.JPGIMG_1203.JPG IMG_1204.JPGIMG_1205.JPG The leaves on the top that got burned will be pinched soon enough anyway

9/5: so, experimented with a diy foliar pest spray:
1oz each rosemary and peppermint essential oils
2oz neem oil
1oz dawn dye free dish detergent
3g potassium silicate
2gal water
Did a test spray on a clone. All plants tolerated it well though i did see a couple burn spots on several plants. Not anything to worry about, ill take that over pests any day.
Other than that, feed, water repeat and the pinching continues. Im pretty sure #4 is a male so i put it in the flower tent to confirm. I figure something out if im wrong. The rest will be cloned wed or thurs night. Im pretty sure i got 4/6 females! It will be a wile till i can flower these so ill have lots of time to build the canopy and a beastly root system. IMG_1255.JPG The other suspected male is #3, front left. Im really loving how these grow. Structure is nice and they take to my pinching nicely.
