Not using lm561c it seems. I would guess lm415 but that isn't an actual part number i can find. It's printed on the strip face.

Seems decent for the price. No extra driver to buy. I got two packs of five,
5x 4000k
5x 3000k.
23w each 154lm/w = 35,4200lm total.

Ill report back when they arrive! Until then, any suggestions on mounting? I imagine ill look for aluminum bars. Links to good deals would be appreciated
Thanks

These drivers are only 86% efficient according to this datasheet i found... yuck... upgrade EVENTUALLY

Datasheet: it is the 23w lm415 on page ten but that is the unit's name, not the LED used. The LED is still a mystery.

edit: im fairly certain these are samsung LED. in the datasheet if you scroll down to the largest strip version you will see that it is made of samsung LEDs. above that is pages of COB type is only citizen LEDs. i doubt they used a different brand for the strip sizes then.

So each strip plugs into an outlet directly? If so would make cool additional lighting as side lighting I'd give that a shot myself.
that's what i gathered from it. Unfortunately, doesn't specify the input voltage.

Guess we will know soon enough when yours come in huh :)

If that is the case I could run one vertically on each corner of the tents as side lighting in addition to the cobs in one tent and the QB in the other and see if it's a benefit or would add too much light and heat but shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to find out

yea man, so many options when each strip is individually powered. It could real get some selective penetration

I was going to get some of those a while back - then I saw these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/262916650691

At 20 bucks they are worth trying out. Running them with a cheap 24V DC regulated power supply.

I would suggest using strips of 3/4 aluminum U-channel. two strips per board.

Edit: first link was wrong - I corrected it. I have the 56 diode strips, not the 40 diode strips.

that's a pretty good deal! Did you buy them?
i'm partly thinking of getting one or two of the QB slate heatsink. they're only 12$ a piece. shit. probably the same price in the end?

i am on a tangent of this thought process in my current grow, using high efficiency
PCB LEDs as side lighting for a tree style grow. follow your instincts!
Im stuck in a 2x3x5 box right now. I was by your thread last night. I was really impressed with your idea and how bright it is in there. What was on the above lighting?

Throw those all on a single meanwell driver .

I think those five fixtures will do well in that tent. I would hang one in each corner then one in center on top. If you want to add anything, maybe some low wattage 660nm boards. Agree with the meanwell driver, and hlg-h120-c1050 series.

My tent has 200w of bridgelux Vero Gen 7 over the top, they're probably making 157 lum/watt at the run temperature. Side light is photon fantom sunboard 240s, each pushing ~65w.
