Branches or one running cola ?

I am currently ATTEMPTING to grow Jack Flash#5. Im in my 6th week of growing and it might be too late, but I was wondering, which is the best way to get the most off one plant? I see a lot of pics where there are not so many branches on the plant but more like 1 continuous bud running right up the middle. My plant which is only approximately 14 inches tall, thanks to all the abuse I have put her through, has several branches already reaching out past the older fan leaves. Just curious if I should be changing my ways on my next attempt, should I survive this first grow ?

stays relevant.
I would veg it out a little bit more, and then start flowering. Shortly after a week or two of flowering I would remove a substantial amount of the lower portion of the branches leaving a sort of "christmas tree look." This will help in focusing bud production on the remainder of the plant which is much closer to the light and will produce larger, more dense flowers.

Cool thanks for the heads up...This whole process has been kicking my butt...from my problems with heat to nutes...It sucks really. A friend of mine is currently growing the same strain, started a week later than I did, and his is about 24 inches tall atm...but he didnt have the probs i did as he is an experienced grower...The only difference was that he still had his setup from before so he had the MH lights for Growing and HPS for flowering. Could the MH have made that much of a difference in the growing stage ? Now I do understand that with my problems came set backs...and im guessing about a week setback for each problem. First was heat, I had the room lined with foil to throw the light around, then someone on here suggested that i get rid of that quick as it creates hot spots...as it did..lol...then I had my fan leaves curling and twisting, and after reading through a ton of posts on here, I came to the conclusion that it was from too many nutes. All squared away best i can tell now, but was still wondering about the MH and HPS for grow

depending on the wattage of the mh, yea it can make that big of of a diff.! well i say that and dont know what u are using. but mh can put out lots of lumens of juicy blue and white light for vigorous veg growth
