Brief moments of light during darkness = stunted/prolonged growth?

Hi all, my girls have been flowering for 70 days now and the trichs are still virtually all clear. A buddy of mine whom I got the clones from says they should be done by now, and he knows cause I'm a "newb" and hes been growing for a few years and KNOWS FUCKING ALL! He attributed their slow growth to the fact that I have turned the light on for a couple minutes 3 times since starting to flower... Granted, this is my first grow but could there not be about a hundred reasons why they could be growing slower?? Now I know its not a good idea to turn the light on, and to get a green bulb for this purpose, but I was lazy and each time I did turn it on was within an hour of the timer shutting it off.

I've got a 250W HPS (buddy has a 400) and have been flushing for about 2 weeks now.

The first pic (White Widow) was taken a couple weeks ago at about 55 days, the others were taken tonight, at 70 days.
The one on the left is Master Kush, on the right is White Widow.

Any ideas on if I'm right, or wrong are much appreciated! Harvest pics coming soon!!

Your plants look really f'in good! :weed:

The trich's take time to turn from clear to cloudy but then they can quickly start degrading and turn amber.

Interrupting the dark period will slow things down, but your plants look spot-on. Flowering times of the same clone can vary depending on all the variables in the growing environment. Mine were supposed to be done in 50-55 days and they're at almost 60 days now.

Just be patient, you're almost there. Also, try to getting the lights closer for a few hours before lights out, then lower the temps a few degrees in the dark period. This should accelerate the trichome development/maturation slightly.

Thanks for the input & compliments guys. I had a feeling it had more to do with growing environment than anything.
