Bronze Spotting Almost a Month into Flowering

Anyone know what this may be? My friend from overseas passed these pics along and gave me this brief description:

They developed these brown spots rapidly, after 5 days of not being watered. The last time they were watered (5 days before the spots appeared) they had regular ph-corrected water. When the spots appeared, it had been 9 days since they had been fed with 1/4 a regular dose of Tiger Bloom, full dose of Big Bloom. They are under a 1000W hps, room temp 75-79, humidity 60 percent. Grown in Ocean Forest soil, have been flowering on 12/12 for nearly a month.

No other symtpoms other than some mild yellowing of the tips at the top cola growth. Many of the leaves exhibiting the bronze spots are mid to top fan leaves, as well as the minor larger leaves at the bottom of branch bud growth.

My guess was phosphorus deficiency, due to the length of time since they had been fertilized, and the rapid bud growth that took place in between then and when the spots appeared. But they were watered with 1/2 dose of nutes 2 days ago and the spots still have increased, although not by a lot.

It'd be a shame to see these girls die so close to Prom night.

No help anyone?

For right now this is largely isolated to the taller plant, but it has been noticed minutely in the shorter one - so if this is a big problem help would be much appreciated before the problem develops on the 2nd plant and/or severely harms the first. This is a first grow so that would be very sad.
