Budget lights?

Hello, i already have a setup with 6X23w cfl +1 200w 8u cfl, and i wanted to add some more light to the grow..i was thinking about a normal led from 300 to 600w what u guys advice?
But still dont know which type of led should i take, is the COB the best thing i can get, or those one with 3w chips?

While I don't own one, a cob setup or HID will likely be your best options.

get a 315watt cmh,, its more money but better thab hps w/ less heat and will cover a 4ftx4ft area pretty well..cmh is cheaper than led, more than hps, but way better than hps and id say the ceramic is the solution.. i switched after 20 years w/ hps and mh,, the ceramics save me on electric, and cooling cost, and went from 1 gram per watt to 1.4 grams per watt on my first run w/ ceramics pluss the bulb lasts 3 years so no bulb changes every 5-6 months so money saved on hps bulbs too.

How is CMH cheaper than LED? Zero cooling and bulb replacement costs associated with LEDs. All HID requires cooling and bulb replacement. Means you are continually spending more money to support your HID lighting monthly/yearly. COBs/QBs require some DIY, but the benefits far outweigh the task of installing your own system. Much lower cooling/fan requirements than any HID system. No bulb replacements. High quality parts and warranties.

Well the CMH r quite appealing, but i looking for Led only for the time being something less expensive..
I was thinking something like Marshydro 300/400/600 i read somewhere that Led and Cfl work great together so i wanted to give a try. I have a 3ftX3ft growbox and i m not sure if i trully need a 400/600 or if a 300w will work just fine..and what about Cree led's?

Loke to correct some misinformation here. Phillips estimates bulb life for horticulture at 2 years for replacement and all of the reflectors and companies say 3'x 3' area per 315.

I think in my flower room I only get effective coverage like my 600 hps in a 2.5' x 2.5' area from my sun system 315 setup.

And even with a higher gram per watt possible it still produces less than my 600 hps. At least 25% less every test. It's only 315 watts. It's not a miracle bulb. Just has pros and cons like anything else.

With led quality parts and tech are really important for good results.

With HID you can grow very high yields and quality for way less initial cost.

I would go with a diy or pre built cob kit from one of the Colorado sellers like timber or northern.

Seems like everyone upgrades their budget leds right away.

6 plants will produce anywhere from 6oz to 32 oz of bud each. At 200 an oz or 2500 a lb the budget doesn't seem to fit to well.
