BUDS LOADED W TRICHS...BY ACCIDENT

Looks normal to me, I've grown some that are more frosty then that and some that are less, just depends on the genetics and phenotype. Shoulda cloned it, you probably won't find it again.
Yeah I concur 200%, but I'm comparing it to (what I can't show you 'cuz I don't have pics!.. ) the aesthetics 2 weeks prior to my return! The difference in trichome coverage was HUGE! That's all I can say

those are surely frosty girls @ week 4 !
I know right?! That's my opinion in my experience too! They just did such a 360 turn around that it caught me off guard! From pretty much the usual looking early formation, barely visible trichs/lots of white-ish hairs to BAM! That!

Heres what they look like now...with a thick blanket of sparkle where there was slim to none 12 days prior

It is considered a weed for a reason, highly adaptable and difficult to kill.
That has nothing to do with the definition of a weed. A rose bush or an apple tree, growing wild in a corn field, is a weed.

weed

noun
  1. 1.
a wild plant growing where it is not wanted and in competition with cultivated plants.

Seeing how its a seed based grow, the outcomes can't really be compared to previous grows. Most likely differentiating factor is genetics, over environment. I'd take a few cuttings and try saving it, she is frosty frosty. Maybe try a reveg after harvest.

View attachment 4005500 ( there! This was SUPPOSED to be at the bottom of the page...by the "I'll post a pic later" comment...! Anyhow this is a crude/ not well lit pic of one of the buds after I got back)

Ahhh! Yeah, I think you're onto something w that "VegasWinner"...I mean, that sounds right! And seriously...this is something I take GREAT pride in that I happen to excel at so I DON'T wanna screw up & hurt my hard earned gals but man...to know what is possible with a (somewhat!) brief slip up it's hard NOT to want to make lightning strike twice, ya know? Btw though I have no before pics, I can obviously take a current one, just to show the sweet, funky sparkle they gained, once I'm back on the light 12 I'll add a pic! And THANKS btw! I'm seriously gonna attempt to recreate the conditions leading up to this small but bad @$$ "discovery"...ha!
@OldAK-MTF907 leave some growth and reveg her for clones

Screenshot_2017-09-06-09-50-40.png THERE WE GO! Took some doin' but THIS is what I was refering to...see those weird "glittery-goo"laden spots?! And some of the nearby trich coverage? THAT just kinda popped up! It's almost in chunks, or like a coating in certain areas of the plants buds!...I can't flippin' wait to dry/cure/stuff it in a pipe & see what happens next! Though I have the sneaking suspicion it'll get me stoned. Lol! Anyhow that's a better, closer pic I wanted to show...and yes lemme reply to the above!

Yep I did exactly that! Though for some reason I forgot if I had to take them directly off the plants main stalk or if they could be cut off indirect branches so I did both! Also I still have a "monster crop"/flowered clone, now a bushy, healthy plant in veg. & kickin' major booty from a previous grow, started from a random bag seed ALSO & loved her so much I HAD to allow her to continue! And hey THANKS for the input, that's what I'm currently tryin'!

Kind of on another note but I have had INSANELY amazing luck w random bag beans for the last 3 grows! I now have 4 different stinky/sweet, above average yielding & SUPER POTENT strains alive, all in clone form & got all the original seeds for free from friends!

The ONLY down side thus far is not havin' any info on the individual strains, the name/moniker & also having no seeds to start back up if I wanted to take a break...!

Well, I have one bag w roughly 20 or so seeds & they seem to be all of the same type. However the other seeds I have all seem to differ, some dramatically! & yeah, I was runnin' short on jiffy cubes (or whatever the proper name is of the little dehydrated starter soil pucks!) so I had to pick cuts from the frostiest, nicest/most efficient & also smelliest plants...now I'm crossing my fingers! Thanks for the idea btw!

Environment, nutrient ratio & levels along with phenotype usually have some type of equilibrium for healthy/optimal growth.

Dialing in a phenotype is kind of an art imo, i have a cut that took me 3 fucken runs and it HATES the humidity i run my OG's with. I have to feed that same pheno consistently & incredibly low if i run it in the same room as the OG's. Its more of a tropical strain and does better on my window ledge lmao

Yeah absolutely true. I've found a few consistencies that run the gamut for most mari-hoochie but it seems if you want the upper level nug, dialing it in is the only way. I assume your tropical strain is nice though right?

Its a nice blue hawaiian cross, pineapple & blueberrie terps are the first 2 that hit me, been hybridized and passed on out here. Its a personal smoke of mine that i run for myself, i run them off the "recycled" illuminated spots around my OG's along with GDP.

Ahhh I see what you and Ilovetoskiatalta are gettin' at...I think. So leave some leaves & small shoots behind after the main bud harvest & throw her back into veg.? Cool idea, one I HAVEN'T done before but have recently done a little lookin' into...sounds like a plan, I appreciate the thoughts!

Ahh, yeah that sound's killer! I remember trying what was claimed to be "tutti frutti" well over 15-20 years ago in my "hay-day" (when I used to smoked tough...!) also a tropical, Hawaiian strain, light yellow-ish green w light orange hairs and a helluva sweet fruity taste/smell! Kinda fluffy from what I recall but beautiful all the same! And "OG" I'm kinda familiar w but "GDP"...Grand Daddy Purple? Sorry! I was in Alaska for a few decades way back when I used to partake heavily & the brand names & terms for the good stuff back then we're SO much different! Lol! I mean, I ran into Purple back then too, (which we lovingly referred to as "baby poop buds" due to the at times acrid, brutally sour smell! ...baha!) but Willy's Wonder, MTF (Matanuska Valley Thunder F÷%k), Elvis (or commonly known as the $#!+ that KILLED Elvis!), Blueberry on rare occasions, Skunk, Northern Lights, ...etc. Those we're the ones I was most familiar w I guess.

Also great idea using the "open" spots to run something special! This recent round I should have had something ready to rip to fill in a small gap or 2 like that!
