Honestly you can get LED's for the same price they last longer and provide more light. I would not mess with the CFL anymore. If you break one and that crap gets on your buds they will become unsmokable.

I'm using 6 -23w CFL's. I have used them for veg/flower/clones. 3 harvest using them with each giving me right about an oz. I have 5500k and 2700k. Usually running them mixed.

For veg i will use 6500k and for flower i will use 2700k. And i wouldn't grow anything under less than 300 ACTUAL WATTS so do the math in how many bulbs u need. GL

The space is really like 1ft by 1and a 1/2 ft just something to start them out and keep them till about 8in tall or so how close do the cfls need to be and would 300w be to hot its not well ventilated just a small clip fan and yes I will be keeping a good eye on them I treat my stuff just like kids lol

I already have everything I can put a bulb in it and turn it on the bulbs is really all I need I don't think I will try to flower in it I am just starting about 5or 6 seedlings and put them outside when they get about 6 to8 in tall or put one in it and let it get about a foot tall its not for something special

Cfls really have been replaced by the led bulbs. Most here say to cut off the covers, but I disagree. I'd say buy a few of the 9-15 watt leds and give them a shot. They are easily 30% better than cfls watt for watt. If it's a 1x1 space 30 watts could do it, 60 watts tops. Any brand should do the trick, but don't buy duracell brand in my opinion. Of the 6 brands I tested duracell ran the hottest and can actually burn NY finger at the base. The sylvania was the best.

I tried to tell him but someone was like it's only 9 watts. So I stopped making suggestions

I believe they have like the 60 W ones that are like a nine watt equivalent I think that might be a little brighter for what you want
