i would say yes, as most anti depressants job is to level off one's mood, which i'd think would involve keeping ones serotonin levels, well level, and being that mdma wants to peak these levels, yeah, no...
i'd wait for someone like mreduck or rory or canndo to come along and give a more educated answer though..

its a dopamine reuptake inhibitor..no dopamine,not much fun...even with a blast of serotonin..effects will be diminished..

I've been taking bupropion for a couple years now and roll on a regular basis. I never gave any thought to it until it recently crossed my mind to search and see if the two affected each other. What i found was a lot of very bad info being tossed around the different forums.I start by saying this bc i read a lot of post on different forums from people who said it would weaken or even cancel out the effects of mdma. Several of these post even came from people who say they took mdma on bupropion and had "weak rolls" with no euphoria. They need to find a better source for molly bc I roll fukin balls on an almost weekly basis and have no ill effects or no weakened effects due to the 300mg of bupropion that a take on a daily basis. I have no scientific, factual evidence to put out there as far as discussing the physiology or the actual "brain reactions" of the two (although i know and understand exactly what the two are causing to happen in my brain) im just speaking from a lot of real life experience and expressing my experiences with using them together. I rolled balls yesterday while continuing my regular 300mg a day dose of bupropion. Sat here at the computer rocking some Skirllex while my eyes rolled back in my head and spasmed back and forth in their sockets as i came from head to toe from the waves of euphoria. I love the rolling eye spasms! thats when you know ur fukin cuming balls. I don't just hear the music but feel it from head to toe on a much deeper level. Only from mdma have i ever experienced euphoria on this level. And four days before that I rolled just as hard. And a week before that I rolled balls at Disney's Animal Kingdom. And the weekend before that and the weekend before that. I use a lot. I don't do any other drugs aside from mdma except for smoking pot. We rolled a lot as teenagers eating beans but a decade had gone by w/o me ever using untill abot a year ago I met a guy who sales molly, raw pure mdma( I've tested it multiple times with reagent and have never found it positive for any substance but mdma). I refell in love with it all over again and have easily used it a solid hundred times over the last year and a half. Me taking bupropion hasnt seemed to affect my rolls in the least. Me rolling so much hasnt seemed to affect my rolls in the least although naturally some rolls are more "spiritual" than others. I just wanted to share my personal experience and hear from others with real life, personal experience taking the two together. Again, I know the science. Bupropion is not an SSRI but a dopamine reuptake inhibitor. It doesn't directly affect serotonin. Im not looking for fancy scientific responses but real life experience responses. Certainly I'm not the only wellbutrin taking roller in here. If u have weak rolls I would say it's your source of the drug that's the problem and not the bupropion but i'm very open minded and curious to hear from others.
