It can possibly help , it can also cause rot tho.
If its lookin good i wouldnt bother , it will take afew weeks for her new roots to start growingout again.

You can bury your plant with no ill effects up to your first set of leaves. In my container grows I step up my babies three times during their grow and bury them a little deeper each time. Doing this gives you a few more roots and I am all for as many roots as I can get growing. I also top dress with fresh compost during flowering about mid way through to give a boost to the soil. I suggest doing this to one plant at a time until you know how it works for you, then you can expand what you learn on this grow to your next grow. Never be afraid to try something new, the worst you can do is harm one plant and the best is find a method which gives you the best results possible. Happy Growing.

it says your in plant is flowering,,which would mean it has already established its root system and all burrying the stem will do is possibly give you a stronger and thicker stem,,and i cant see it rotting on unless you have had some kind of rotting problem b4,, and also if you were thinking of your plant getting new roots lol why would you want to do that during flowering, thats going to slow down your budding process of your plant if anything...try focusing on the flowering stage and thats it, if the plant is going good and looking normal from whatever happened to stun it then leave her alone..and as canefane says he does it with his babies for root growth, not in flowering..
