CA/Bay Area Vendors Union: What to grow, where to sell and how to sell

I let go of a unit of hydro Blue Dream for 23 last week (southern half of the state). Thinking of expanding from the two lights I have.

People who would know, how long should I expect to continue to get over 2 for that same quality? I assume it's never going back up again. Could current going rates last one year? Three Years? Cali probably goes full recreational in 2016 so it would take until at least 2018 for that to take effect.

I've heard that more dispensaries are growing their own and that small growers might not exist very soon.

I love it and want to do a little more but I guess there's no point in doing that if the market could (further) collapse soon. Only option could be starting a collective probably a delivery service but idk if I'm up for that.

Blue Dream is a decent strain, but its a common commercial strain. Moving a couple pounds of something like that isnt too hard if it is grown well, but moving more than that if you expand could be difficult.

With a bigger op it is best to have some unique high quality strains going, so in essence youre competing against less people. Either that or if you do grow strains like Blue Dream, Green Crack, Chem 4 etc you gotta maximize the yield so you can move it at a competitive price and get good relationships going with high volume dispensaries that will expect you to bring stuff in on a regular basis.

Also be willing to go off the beaten path a little bit. Theres still plenty of dispensaries around LA and the Bay Area that have a hard time keeping stocked with quality bud, you just gotta make the rounds and put yourself out there.

I dont think the prices are gonna dip too much lower for a while. The herd has been thinned a bit over the last several years as people that were good growers got even better, and the dabblers that couldnt turn a profit with further price drops quit. Be consistent and work hard and you can do well.

So its about as hard as being a salesman huh? Walk into 5 places, throw a sample. Think id get a bite if its b+ a-. Im gonna flip for 26-28 local.. Id have no problem letten em go legalish for 2ish. long as the disp doesnt charge 60 an 1/8th. That would be b.s. Lookin forward to moving. Only prob is how big my balls are. LA is dope minus traffic. But outdo norcal is my dream at this point. Do i have the balls to go norcal is ? For me. :). Any input from the do-ers here would be cool.
