Cabinet grow question

I have been growing in a cabinet for the last 2 years using T5's and CFL's.My cabinet is 54" high x 30" wide x 19" deep.(grow space).
I have a space on top that is 16" high used for the carbon filter and blower fan blowing the exaust into another space.
I presently use 4 x 2' T5's 6500k , 4 x 13w 6500k CFL and 1x125W CFL for vegging and 4 x 42w CFL & 1 x 125w CFL for flowering.
I also use the 4-T5 6500k for flowering as well.
During my last grow, I had heat issues all summer. The temps in the cab were 95-98 degrees when the lights were on, and around 85-88 degrees when the lights were off. I harvested 3-1/2 oz. from 8 plants.I grow enough personal stuff so I don't have to buy from anyone.I grow just for myself. I also found that the buds were "airy" this time around and I blame the high heat for that. Now if I replace all those CFL's for say a 250W MH & HPS, would it be hotter in the cabinet.I can't think of another way to keep the cabinet cool. The room the cabinet is in is 72 degrees. Does anyone have any suggestions on solving the high heat problem?
What about LED's?? Do they work?

From what i've heard LED's or low heat and use less power. They work . Just don't know how many you need -_- haha
