It seems that a mayoral candidate in California, Kevin Saunders, has started a state wide initiative that would "decriminalize the use, possession, sale, transport and cultivation of mushrooms for adults over 21"
He cites the medical benefits of using psilocybin in the treatment of psychological disorders that range from cancer treatment to alcoholism.
Last year, researchers published the results of two separate clinical trials on the effects of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy on patients with cancer-related anxiety and depression. All told, between 60 and 80 percent of the subjects showed clinically significant reductions in both conditions after treatment. Patients reported that the benefits of a single dose of psilocybin along with therapy lasted up to seven months, with minimal side effects.
So, all California would have to do is get 365,880 stoners signatures to put it on next years ballot.
Can they do it, and make California a heads paradise?

That would be great if they legalized p.cubensis. Super easy to grow your own too, and inexpensive. They can also be used to alleviate symptoms of a neurological disorder called cluster or suicide headaches

I'm sure pharma will be fighting this though

Their easy to grow?
I thought they were a pain in the ass, like a sterile environment was imperative and the humidity levels had to be perfect.
I liked mushrooms, alway's gave me a nice buzz, whereas Peyote and LSD could be tricky.

Yes sir, really easy to grow. You grow them in a Rubbermaid tub, that tub holds all the humidity inside, kind of like a micro environment. You could even use a 5 gallon bucket to grow in. You do need to be clean and sterile, but that's not hard or complicated

Cheap as hell to grow, all you need is a fluorescent light above your tub, you could actually use indirect sunlight if you wanted.

All else you really need is a spore print, few pounds of wild bird seed and a brick of coir

are the spores legal to buy? or do you have to hit up the dark web?

i'd love to grow some and do some camping. couple cases of whip-its, beer and joints to go with.

Easy to grow once or twice, then people get greedy or lazy and hang on for more flushes but end up spreading tric all over their house....
After that, not so easy.

I voted no, unlike cannabis; psilocybin is very different animal.

you have to assume any legalization, that kids will get a hold of it, I see a lot more problems with psilocybin then cannabis.

you can smoke a bowel before school and still function, I do see eating some caps and doing the same thing.

Valid point, but they are already available and like any other drug, if someone wants to get high they will, legal or not.

Yes spores are legal to purchase as they're sold for microscopy only lol. Spores don't contain anything "active". It's the mushroom tissue itself that has psilocybin. Well there is 3 states that it's illegal to have spores shipped to - California, Georgia and I think Iowa. For sure the first 2 though. Other than that, it's all good.

This was my #1 favorite place to order from, totally legit and trustworthy http://sporeworks.com/

A syringe loaded with spores is under $20. And once you get a flush of mushrooms, you can just make your own prints and be pretty much self supporting. Only need to order spores again if you want a different strain.

If you guys need help, I'm happy to point you in the right direction.

Also, I have a nice pressure cooker (used to sterilize the grains wild bird seed), holds 7 quart jars. I don't use anymore. I'd be happy to give it to someone as long as I'm reimbursed for the shipping cost, might be $20-30 shipping depending where you're at in the US. Real nice pressure cooker it's an All American it's a top of the line brand, I only used it for sterilizing my grain jars never cooked any food in it, so it's clean as a whistle.

@Jimdamick , I'll message you later I'm at work right now

I could if I wanted to.

But, "oh the children" is a lame excuse, there were shrooms when we were kids and we survived.

Man if you grow weed, shtooms are piss easy to grow and no electricity needed, they prefer to be under a desk in the semi dark, initial sterile procedures are important but straightforward, I never had a problem

i always used a 13 watt cfl over my tubs. like everything else, they grow towards the light. ive tried without a light and they just grow sideways and do weird shit lol. but i agree.. if youre good at keeping a clean area and smart at sterilizing.. mushrooms are just about the easiest thing to grow.. and once you get started and get it down and move to bigger tubs.. you pull a hell of a lot of weight in shrooms
It seems the spores are legal in some states, but not the product anywhere (lol) :)

that site is really good. best deal ive found and super fast shipping. never had an issue with their spores, and ive ran close to every one on that list

Their list is amazing. I had no idea there were that many varieties.
Any recommendations?

their list is actually pretty small compared to some other companies out there.. i just like them because they are reliable and their price is amazing. you buy 2 and get one free .. so my recommendations are B+ , Tazmanian (thats a great strain.. for some reason mine are crazy strong growers) and Pink Buffalo .. those are my top 3 from there

I think all drugs should be legalized...BUT, mushrooms messed me up in the head more than any other drug I've tried, and I've tried a few. My only concern is people operating a vehicle while tripping. I know damn well that I would have been a danger behind the wheel if I would have been in a situation where I had to drive. Holly fuck does that shit do a number on your melon!
