Can 700 watts of LED strips grow trees???

Humm, that makes sense. Very right about the coverage, thats moreless the reason im pushing forward with this project.

600 par across the spread isnt to bad, plus, the 3000k with prob help more for flower. I would like to also get some fullspectrum 380-840nm in there somehow. and adding Growmau's nighttime puke,

BGT, that regulator is rated for 15amp MAX input, but my PS is 30Amps output. Wouldnt that be a problem?

anyways, Im going to get a new PS that is 400W. But still doing these in parallel, but still need the adjustments to dim, so can i still use that regulator you posted for me?

OR, should i get 12amp (150w) PS, THEN add the step-up converter to get to the 400w or whatever is needed to run 20 strips? The one you posted also says output power is 100Watts? No im confused, lol.
You don't need that converter with a real power supply -- I only recommended it to you so you could better control the PC power supply. As NF explained, these generic power supplies have a voltage adjustment that controls everything fine. Just adjust the voltage to where you get the desired output in amps or watts. I still recommend that volt/watts/amp display I linked previously. It really gives you a good idea how hard you are driving the strips.

OK, i gotcha now. Easypezy,

Now, the bad news, I think i found black mold or something on the stems of 1 plant ( small container). Looks likeit to me, so im probably going to end up trashing this entire run. Will take pic later, and take a look under loop,

Thanks BGT, they were lacking anyways, lol.. Ill build this light, going back to Foxfarmoceanforest and Kindsoil, water only. in a 5gallon bucket, 1 plant, 1 lb. Getting a dehumidifier, maybe a 4x2 tent. moving location of tent.

already destroyed, and ready for dumpster, time to move on.

Hows your babies doing?

I flipped the lights to 12/12 today so the little ladies went to bed early tonight and will get to sleep in tomorrow. The plants' colas are between 10 and 15" tall so I felt they have vegged long enough.

I have been busy today with my mining rig tho

Now I have to figure out how to use Linux fluently enough to set up the miner and mod the bios of the gpus. At least it gives me something new to learn. Woot!

If you guys want pics of anything in particular, let me know. Overhead pics are difficult since I have 2 20" box fans laying flat across the top of my lights blowing down onto the plants. I realize that blows warmer air into the plants but I'm not concerned since it isn't 'hot' air and my tent is 82*. Currently the whole grow is at ~1120 watts running all the lights, 2 box fans and a 6" inline exhaust fan. I can turn the lights up about 30% more if they can handle it.

1120W and how big is the tent? I must've missed it above...
