can a sun system hard core 600w hps ballast run mh

Hi folks i know this may be a stupid question but i want to make certain before i go out and buy another ballast!
can my 600 watt sun system hard core series ballast run a mh bulb? what about a conversion bulb ?

Whats the stickers say on it? Theres like a millions ballasts, just a name is never gonna be enough info for us to answer accurately....

From a verified owner on Amazon:

"Another note: Someone commented on another persons review that this is a switchable ballast from HPS to MH. This is not true. It is exactly what the description reads, HPS. There is a switchable HPS to MH ballast like this but, this is not that model. It is switchable from 120v to 240v and will accept the two common light fixture plugins. It comes with a 120v power cord. You will have to purchase a separate cord if you wish to use the 240v outlet."

So I would say "NO" and go with the conversion bulb....

If it's one of those great big magnetic ballasts, probably not. Spring for a modern electronic ballast that is capable rather than a conversion bulb.
