Can anyone label this damn bug?

every day there is atleast one of these bugs on one of my plants. Every time I try to get them off they avoid me. I run around in circles trying to get them off eventually succeeding however what are they and are they harmful to the plant? I noticed that they shoot a liquid substance out at times.

I am in the 12/12 cycle right now and pistols are everywhere and the smell is very potent. Not sure if this has anything to do with this bug.

See if they taste like blue berrys, if so they are not harmful to your plants.

If they taste like blood, its just a potatoe bug and cook them with some steak
