Can I burn plant from light intensity?

Hey, I have a 120 watt dimmerble led and one plant. I am using a very very small space but I want to try my light on full power. Is it possible to damage my plant from giving it too much light or having it too close?

Many thanks

Yes it is possible. What kind of light is it. Also picture of the space you are using would prove helpful..
Hey, so I don't want to put you into shock but I am currently using a 30x30x60cm tent. I plan to upgrade next week but as it stands my plant is about 16 inches from the light. Very tiny set up but my first time.

The light doesn't have the Samsung diodes but meant to have great results. It has a draw of 120 watt

You will need to LST and supercrop the shit of that plant. Is it an auto?
It's an auto at least. I will do lst and I plan to get a slightly bigger tent of 40x40x120cm. I want to know if I crank up the led power that it won't kill my plant, how do I know it's getting enough light? I can see daily progression at least..

YES. You can give seedlings light burn under T5s. It's very easy to burn plants under an LED depending on the age of the plant, and the distance to the light. Closer is not always better.
Can you suggest a safe distance between light and plant? And could a 120watt light be capable of burning a plant?

Your plant is looking great so far and the light distance and dimming is on point. Just a heads up however, you're going to have a problem in the future unless you get a taller tent. I am by no means an expert but I always LST the shit out of my plants and even my shortest auto right now is 52cm in height (including the pot). And that is with constant LSTing.20201221_172845.jpg20210130_111435.jpg
I have no experience with your light but I had problems when my light was 12inches from the canopy. My light was a 240watts QB and the tip of the main bud got bleached, because of too much light. Your light being 120watts means you can shorten the distance a little bit more but in my experience, shorter than 12inches is too much light (but once again, it depends on type of light, watts/ppfd).

I'll just throw this in here. 65W each, COBs. Note the distance. String hanging from left light marks 24". In flower. They were 30-36" before. YMMV with your light.

Hey dude thanks for the positive feedback and that's some great looking babies you got there. I will defo do some lst and get a tent with more height! Peace
