I got a greenhouse with a 40% shade cloth over..

I was wondering if I can leave it on for the entire flower stage ..
To help with heat stress and mostly for pests last season I had a severe problem with budworms and the shade cloth does great at keeping pest out ..

So should I be good with leaving the shade cloth for the entire flower stage with no severe issues? Here are some pics , any other advice by looking at the pics that I should take into consideration

Based on your name, I assume you're in SoCal? As long as you're getting mostly sunny days with good exposure to direct sunlight for most of the day, you should be fine. Even with 40% shade cloth the intensity of direct sunlight is stronger over more of the plant than what you get with indoor lights. If you're in an area that gets a lot of cloud cover with onshore flow, then it might not be enough direct sunlight.

Good luck! Peace:peace:

Yeah I'm los angeles..
Cool thanks ! Sounds like I'll be good with the shade cloth .. I pretty much get direct sunlight from sunrise to bout 2-3 hours before sunset . .
And blocking out the pests is just a big plus outdoors
They'd be roasting in the sun with heat sensitive strains.

During veg only I use neem, bt, and Spinosad. I don't apply any spray once flowers are showing.
Yeah definitely not during flower what about using cotton ball n wiping the leaves down n not the buds?

I do have some small brown bugs crawling under the leafs .. in flower . And leaving white spots on the top side of the leaves ..

What do u think on using diatomaceous earth dusted on the top soil during flower ?? I usually use a strainer to dust it around the top and surrounding floor ..

Small Brown bugs leaning white spots sounds like could be spider mites. Can you post pics?

The diatomaceous earth tends to kick up in the air when you apply it. It will stick all over the buds if it gets up there. I put in on top of my outdoor soil during flower, but my plants are tall enough that it doesn't float up to the buds. If you use it, be careful to avoid getting on the buds. Also, I wash my outdoor buds when I harvest.
