Can I put Autoflowers straight under 600w hps light from seedling?

Good on you. That outdoor plant looks good. Remember the smoke and effect is what matters at the end of the grow.

Hey man.

Dunno if it's any small help, but I always stick my babies straight under the 400w hps, right from the moment the seed hits the soil, although run perpetual and plant every 4-6 weeks. If I were to start over with an empty tent, I think I'd run them under a cfl for a while to save on my energy bills.

What's the legality of growing over in Jamaica? You got anything in the pipeline musically?

Hi there. I'm on day 41 of my first grow. 4 candy cane autos. I have a 2x4x5 tent with a 600W hps.
I put mine straight under. After germination. It was probably too intense for the first little while. The first 2-3 weeks will seem slow no matter what because it's all happening underneath the surface.
Keep in mind that heat can become an issue if your reflector is not air cooled. I had a wing and had to swap it out for a cool tube. Not ideal but for whatever I lose in light I gain in temp control.

Hey Sick, I know you're kinda new but I'm interested in your perpetual grow. Are you cloning yet? What's your timing as far as starting from clone/seed and then veg, flower?

Perpetual autos right at the minute mate, but I'll be growing out some photos soon looking for strong mothers, and start running clones instead.

My old tent will actually fit inside my new tent (it's far too big, I could sleep in there!!) and only take up a sixth of the floor space, so I could keep a couple of sexy milfs in there, clones out front, start one /chop one one every month or so.

Oh right that sounds good! Just got myself a dimable ballast so will try it out tmrw at 250 and go up from there!

In Jamaica your aloud to grow 5 plants!

And as for music!!

Oh right not long to go! I'm also having the drama of deciding between a cool tube light or an open reflector but the heat out here in Jamaica is no joke!! it's hot without a light so thinking cool tube would be better. Wish you a happy harvest!!

Congrats on the nationwide commercial dude. We vacationed on St Thomas in 2014 - now I know what my girls feel like, when the light is too close!! You folks know what direct sunlight is.
I'd agree with the cooltube - unless you are rocking some major cooling, take that heat outta there.

Oh right your set up great!! Thanks for your response! I'm gonna put them under the hps at 250w and dial it up to 600w over next couple weeks and see how that goes.

How close you think I can get bulb at 250w? ✌

Starting with what? Seed, seedling, clone, etc?

Got a dimmable ballast so gonna do just that, there under the 250w and I'll move it up next week I've got my plants 2ft away so let's see how they like it
