Can I use D.E or armorSI in organic peat mix

I have food grade D.E and a bottle of armor si, for silica amendment/additive
Im doing a organic grow using dr.earth ferts and fish ferts..

is armorSI safe to use in an organic grow?

Or would D.E be better? If so how much per gallon ?

Armour SI is not organic but DE is def safe for living soil. I’ve been using Diatomaceous earth as a gnat larvae/egg control for many years; worms don’t seem to mind it. DE is a decent form of silica once it’s broken down after a really long time. Sprinkle about a tsp per gal on the top layer; slightly more/less is fine.

I'm sure about DE, the other nothing. When any soil has good drainage, DE can actually change the pedigree of that soil type. 19% calcium and other important plant nutrients in DE. Peat moss by itself (PH 4.0-4.5) is excellent for potatoes, seriously. To adjust the pH add 1-cup crushed oyster shells/32 qrts. The minerals in it, 52 including silica and organic matter. Use DE.

My worms don't seem to care about DE at all. Also DE loses it's "sharpness" as soon as you get it wet, so if you're worried about your soil mites etc it's fine as an amendment as long as it gets wet in my experience.

That being said a lot of DE is high in lead iirc and I know you said yours is food grade but anyone using it should also make sure to get food grade as well.

ArmorSI is the fancy silica acid molecule right? I'm pretty sure they've shown that agsil breaks down in the soil into the same compound and can actually be more plant available via the roots, I think as a foliar that its still more available though. It should be fine to use in your organic grow as in it shouldn't nuke your microbiome but it isn't necessarily organic so that's up to you.

DE is a soft body insect killer. It looks like razor blades and will cut those soft Bodies up, no not very good for earthworms . As far as cannibis goes, be very careful in who and what your being fed. Been using it religiously forever. Sounds like bullshit scientific GOOGLED

Where do you live ? Hawaii or California. Silicates in soil !
You see I've been using it for years, it's always a mix ingredient. Also 1- tsp/gallon at watering throughout stages. Has a great deal of flower power. (SILICA) × (Potency) #1 for potency are the cosmic factors (UVA & UVB) ONE MORE IMPORTANT ITEM/ORGANICS,
O.M.R.I.certified (it's organic)
