Can light pollution cause outdoor plants to flower way prematurely?

Thanks, I was wondering why my Mimosa’s are flowering after 2 months, it’s not supposed to be Auto. Southern Hemisphere middle of summer, they should veg for another couple months.

Planted straight from seed early October (Southern Hemisphere) Barneys farm mimosa evo fem photoperiod. Growing outdoors in a green house. she’s 2 months old and in flower. By my count should only start blooming around March, I thought maybe she was stressed out from the neighbours spot light outside. Thanks to everyone for their input, I reckon this strain just does that, as per advise, none of the other plants, which are different strains are in flower, I was worried a light issue might force all of them to flower early, so just genetics probably, I would have liked her to get a bit bigger before bloom.

If you aren't getting 14+ hours of sunlight a day, most strains will just flower outside right away. You can use supplemental lighting at night to keep them from flowering early...couple led bulbs for a few hours at night is all it takes. Too late now though.

What was the length of day when they became sexually mature? (4-6 weeks old) My longest day of the year is 14 hours 7 minutes, so I deal with this all the time. A couple three years ago two of my strains flowered in June (in NW Florida) and never revegged. Once in a while you will get that. Just enjoy the summer smoke.
