Here are the freaks a few weeks later. the plants are in the same order as my other post w/pics. Lots of things are not quite right with these two. The leave's morphology seem to be headed in the general direction of "normalcy", but the usual angles of attachment still seem out of reach for these seedlings. They do seem healthy, but slow. They really do seem to correspond to the coelchine (sp.) experiments. :blsmoke::peace:

in nature the plant comes from afghanistan and surrounding areas. the plant drops the seeds and dies then there is a winter with sub zero temps and then they germinate in spring when the ground thaws that is the natural way cannabis develops. i refrigerate or freeze the seeds ive made for around 2 months or six weeks minimum i have almost 100% success i have heard you can sprout as soon as the seed is fully dry but you end up with plants that have less vigor than aged seeds hope that helps.

thanks BR. I'm not worried @all! It's all good. There is anecdotal evidence that polyploid plants MAY have different cannibinoid profiles. This was an accidental experiment but I plan on carrying it through to sex determination, and if they turn out female I'll take it all the way.

R U familiar w/ Alexander Gramme Bell and the happy accident?

I have already done that experiment. I had plants that looked like those freaks in the picture and it turned out to be not enough water. Your stems are purple and it is struggling to drink and eat. Keep that soil moist never dry. I am a hydro farmer and i can very easily cut off water or give more water. I am constantly in a experimental mode. Good luck

Thanks P on nitro, nope purple on these is cold related. These are in a soil less
mix with a light layer of worm castings, and a few other organics on top. The siblings are larger and more vigorous with typical leaf arrangements. THey are trully malformed freaks. The pictures kind of suck though.

my guess is that the cell division in the seed was not completed before they were germed. incomplete cell division. it's parent's or grandparents, and even one of the great grand parents that I know of didn't exhibit any weird traits that I noticed other than being incredible weed!

I doubt that they will be as good as the normal siblings, but who knows?
There would be lots of great non-pc names for it ya know. Rain Man, Handy-Man, Simple Jack... ;)

yeah the first one really looked like lettuce. the second one started off looking pretty normal but started to grow so that it was bilaterally symmetrical; the first set of true leaves looked kind of like butterfly wings. Both of them are doing well and looking more normal all the time. They both look as if clones from them might be more or less normal.

I did a real limited pollination of the mother. It is still going and I hope I have a few more hidden in there, but there shouldn't be more than a few. Their great grandmother was probably the strongest weed I've ever smoked, almost unpleasantly so, a grey, huge one ounce bud of white widow that happened to have 13 seeds right along the stem. Not a hermie in the lot :) and they all popped. they got crossed with a mystery sativa that had one of the greatest laugh producing highs I've had. I really don't want to lose the the genetics of these so i'm going the distance with these even if it slows down my grow a bit.

thanks for the info ya'll

peace

i ride a 2006 fuji team issue for training and my race bike is a 2006 specialized tarmac sl both with full shimano dura ace you ride? anyways it seems to me that cloning will make those plants stronger if you want to continue that strain. i always clone from the bottom shoots and the resulting clones have more vigor and strenght than the plants the cuttings were from. i assume this is relative to the rooting hormones and any others hormones released for survival this is just my experience. you could always make a cross to strengthen your prized dna if you have male pollen around. crosses seem to be stronger than either parent in total. my next goal is fem seeds of coveted local strains when i can afford silver and batteries.

I'm down to one bike and don't ride near as much as I used to. I've lived in a couple of cities and didn't need to own a car. I'm out on a winding country road now, lots of blind corners, drunks, and cars going 50 or 60  I still love riding though:blsmoke:

check your change for silver. 64 and earlier are sufficiently pure i hear.:hump:
