Can small scale guerrila/remote grow be done legally?

I am a medical patient in cali, and am considering doing a remote grow next spring no more than 6 plants. Would this be legal or what kind of risks would there be with the lawmen?

Growing on someone else's land puts them at risk, and most public lands that I can think of fall under Federal jurisdiction. To grow legally, you are supposed to post your recommendation next to the plants, that would make it pretty easy for a land owner or ranger to track you down, so I'd say not a good idea.

So maybe BLM? I'm not sure but either way all I know is that if you want to be legal, you must post your recommendation with your grow. I'd figure out who controls the land, then consider how they would react to finding a grow with your calling card attached to it.

Well I wouldnt put my rec on the plants. Id be doing 4-8 plants prob and doubt theyd ever be found. Anyone else got any thoughts?

If your not posting your rec, it's already an illegal grow, and if nobody is going to find it you might as well just go guerilla and take your chances.

Your question doesn't have a, "Ya, no problem bro, go for it!" answer.

You're a medical marijuana patient.
You want to grow your weed on someone else's land.
Without that person's permission, you're putting an illegal substance (to the public in general) on their land, which implicates them in a complicitly criminal endeavor.

Your medical marijuana card doesn't supersede the rights of a landowner, or give you the right to do whatever you want on their land.

Bottom line: someone finds out about your plants and it's traced back to you, it's not gonna matter that you're a medical marijuana patient; you'll be guilty of manufacturing a controlled substance while trespassing.
