Hi all growing outdoors - indoors not an option.

first signs of leaves seem to be drying up or dying. Initiall leaves still OK but first real leaves are not.

why? any reason

i water every day, keep them in sun with cream coloured mesh to protect from harsh sunlight , will they develope better as days progress?

I did change soil about a weeek after first leaves came out as i was worried it may be the soil. This was a stupid idea wasn't it.

I feel these are the most crucial times when they first sprout up from soil so any advice is appreciated.

thanks in advance from down under aussie land!!

Well you should plant a pregerminated seedling (paper towel method) into soil/pearlite 1CM down with tap root facing down. Cover and water. Will take about a week to 2 to come through the surface. Keep inside if possible till after harsh summer. Or if not possible cover with something to avoid harsh direct sunlight, the windowsill may not be a great place as direct sunlight through glass may serve to burn the sprout. (Quite experienced with burning sprouts)
