I've been using marijuana and a host of prescribed drugs to treat extreme bi polar disorder and rage. I need help getting a med license, if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it muchly.

I have been dealing with severe back pain for nearly ten years now and have tried a lot of different meds all of which either made me sick or just didn't work. If anyone knows any docs in alberta who are at least willing to hear me out about a mmj license please let me know!

My GP told me that I have to see my psychiatrist about a med license, that a specialist is needed. I don't' know if that's true or not, first thing to find out.

Your GP s a few rule changes behind in the game... You no longer need a specialist to sign it... my specialist wouldn't becasue she wanted only one person doing pain coverage... doc was very happy I chose this as opposed to continuing the narcs...

I hate it....I am feeling like a damn scumbag because of my family....they all riticule and treat me like dirt because I use cannabis. I fear that because of their views, I have to choose between a beautiful plant, or my alcoholic, pill-poppin' family. They look at me like I have 3 heads. It wasn't my fault I was born with Cerbral Palsy and Hydrocephalus. I am just sick and tired of doing this stone cold. I've looked at C.A.L.M, and although it seems very promising.....I am very scared to contact anyone about this though. I hate being called a drug addict. I just don't know what would be the best route to go.

Sorry folks, any help would be greatly appreciated, ....If there isn't any place out there that could assist, I'll just continue to hold my head up high and continue doing what I was meant to do.....helping others any way I can.

That is wrong, if you are a Form B2 applicant (that is, you don't have Cancer, Aids, MS, or a Spinal Injury), and your doctor isn't a specialist in the area of your disability, then you need to see a specialist. I am going to see my GP in June and I hope she will finally sign the paperwork, I have chronic back and leg pain, and now severe acid reflux from NSAIDs. I had to see a specialist who is a physiatrist (Dr of Physical Medicine) in order to fill out the paperwork as required by Health Canada. The specialist does not need to agree with the Cannabis use or not, they only have to verify that your disability is real.

Thats friggin rediculous as they are pill poppers. Right now i have a script for perks and i have artiritis in my T11 and T12 discs in my spine. My doc is referring me to a pain specilist and he will sign it for me. I dont want to frig up my liver over time taking 10-15 perks a day!!! And i would actually pick the plant over your loser family. Get them on Intervention and then they will see whos doing the worse shit!!! Also your doctor can denie a signature on that form but he cant denie you a referral. A doctor has to referr you he cant denie you that!!!!!

I had my Dr sign all my forms back at the beggining of 2010 and they have been at HC since march 9 ,which works out to 11 weeks and so far I have had no communication with them when I called there number for general questions I was told that its a good thing that I havent heard from them as this means they have everything they require and there are no problems . So what I am wondering is how long any other Canadian MMJ patients who are on this site had to wait before receiving there Authorization to posses and person use production licence I am just curious as its going to be 12 weeks by the time Health opens on tuesday so wondering If I should call them and see whats what . I only waited this long as I know they take your application out of processing and it will slow it down more but they told me that there processing time is currently only 8-10 weeks so .

Two good compassion centres in Toronto are Toronto Compassion Centre (TCC), and Cannabis as Living Medicine (CALM). TCC has a forum, and folks there can help with getting access to MMAR. They may also be able to help find a local club if you live elsewhere in the country.

Good luck finding a doctor to prescribe in AB, the AB college of physicians issued a letter to all MD's urging them not to prescribe cannabis. They have no problem giving me oxycodone like it was candy, but cannabis no way. If anyone knows a doc. in AB with the testicular fortitude to prescribe let me know.

When we finally come out of the Med MJ Dark ages.... My pain management is better with med mj and as a side effect horrific nightmares associated with PTSD have become manageable.... I used to get sweats going to bed cuz the nightmares were coming... Dont do that these days.... And God saw that it was good....
