Hi everyone! I am currently using the Canna COCO products with rhizotonic, canna boost, cannazym, and PK 13/14. I was reading up on molasses use and wanted to know if anyone of you on RIU has used these nutes with molasses and got good results. Thanks in advance!!!

I did and had very bad results.
Hey CG, if you dont mind me askin, what nutes did you use with what moloasses? I only ask because after I never got any replies to this thread I started an experiment on one of my flowering plants. I used 100% organic, unsulphered black strap molasses. I fed her 2 days ago and today she is lookin great! What were your results? Did they die? shitty yield? Bad flavor? Any more info would really help. Thanks...

Things were fine for quite some time, then I started getting wild PH fluctuation. That is it would go up fast. I would ph down it to 5.0 and it would got up to 8.0 the next day. The yield was shitty and the plants and buds were worse than before. The problem continued until I ran a lot of H2O2 through my system, for months after that I had these slime blobs that would develop in my reservoir. I think what happened is the molasses fed the microbes in a way that was not sustainable and that caused the ph problems. I used Canna Coco A & B & pk13/14, as well as beneficial fungi called mycogrow from fungi.com. At the time I was using black strap molasses that came in a bottle from the hydro shop. I was also using canna boost but I dont think that was the problem but I dont use that or the pk13/14 either. I think that it works better when you have pots of soil and no hydroponic reservoir. In my case I do not clean my reservoir often and I stagger my plants, so I dont have down time to clean out pathogens. That makes it much worse, it took months for my problem to get bad.

Well I am sorry to hear such bad results with your system. As for myself. I am using pots of COCO, I have already noticed the differences in my girls. they are in 3 weeks 12/12 and they look pretty snowy for a bagseed grow. I don't know what the molasses is doing, but its working on my plants. Every time I feed I just grab a gallon of water, load up the nutes, molasses, then feed. I make sure to get a shit load of run-off as well. I water feed-to-waste so maybe that is the difference?

cool, well its only been a short while, keep us posted. Since you hand water why not leave one plant non-molasses to see if it is actually helping? Keep us posted.
