Canned Sardines?

honestly it could possibly help.....but i think that the rotting sardines in the soil may cause more problems than good. fish emulsion has no real way of rotting that i know of so it would be a much better route to go than sardines, however adding some to a compost pile may not be that bad of an idea though......
Fdd you might wanna consider a compost pile if you prefer organic buds. I started doing it mainly to recycle the soil I use in pots but I wanted to add nutrients back to the soil that the plants use.

ahhh ha! so someone else knows the secret!!!!!!!!

I HEARBY CHANGE MY ADVICE. AND STAND CORRECTED
thanks go to fdd because what he just said made me remember this.

actually now that I fucking think about it.
throw those sardiney m/f's up in the blender and mix it with soil to grow in...........
the native americans buried fish in the soil when they planted corn crops.......... and there has to be some fucking benifical reason they wasted a good fish like that. SO Im gonna go with them now actually.

to fdd: lucky you with a composter and all......all i have a pile of old dirt on the ground behind my shed that i throw shit into to rot..... and i have to mix mine with the mexican backhoe.....
(thats a shovel for those that dont know my southern/mountain slang

pure fish oil as an organic additive....makes sense and i've heard of such.....sardines on crackers with some tomatoes and guano......can't beat the taste.

I think FDD is right, There is obviously something in the fish which the plant can use. My question is, for those of us who do not have a compost pile, is there any other way to make use of the sardines? Would there be any way of extracting (or semi-extracting) the nutrients? I do think that at the very least, you would have to try and wash off most of the salt, otherwise you would get alot of build that would need to be flushed pretty quick. Maybe if you could like boil the fish and then strain it. I don't know, but I think it could be a very good idea.

p.s. I thought fish emulsion was fish excriment, is that true?

i agree that it would work with the exception of one issue.. i'de go fresh only and wash it well.. they use alot of salts and preservatives to make these things stay fresh in that can unrefrigerated so long.. something to think about maybe theres no preservatives but you can bet your ass theres tons of salts, that cant be good..

sounds good too me, I have used liquid fish after transplanting clones to their vegging pots, and at two weeks....works well.

just my imagination, i do not advocate anything remotely illegal.
