Canopy blocking light from lower bud sites & LST

He everyone. I'm a first time grower and I'm doing this by the seat of my pants so dumb questions may abound.

I am growing this Royal Dwarf autoflower in a space bucket. It's on about week three and the upper canopy has some pretty large leaves that are blocking light from lower bud sites. I did some LST to bring some light in which worked, but now the canopy is really blocking the light to the lower part of the plant. I've considered doing some light pruning to the larger leaves, but i'm unsure whether this is a wise move or not. I read an article on defoliating that stated that defoilating isn't as necessary as it's made out to be because the plant will automatically translate the energy taken in from the upper canopy down to the lower parts of the plant. This made me even more reluctant to trim anything on the plant. There is also the info re: that an autoflower might not have time to recover from defoliating before it starts to flower.

The second questions was re: the LST. As you can see in the picture since the LST the plant has begun to grow into the side of the space bucket. Should I release the LST and let it just grow up since it's a small stout plant anyway? I don't want it to continue to mash into the side of the bucket.

The leaves are turning up a little bit. I think I over watered a bit.

first question is this just for a fun experiment? you are not planning on getting a huge yield or anything just trying to get your feet wet? juist let it do its thing you can spread it out a bit with some wires growing into the side will be fine my best plant last run grew way into the side and yielded the biggest buds

Huge yields would be amazing, but no, just growing a plant for myself to try and learn the ropes.

I'm doing my first Auto flower grow. I had a very successful first grow with photo's and thought about growing Auto's and ran into many interesting decisions. What will autos grow in best? what size pot and what medium. I am hardcore organic grower. I'm about 25 days in and finding the results so far very helpful. I think Less is more with autos and thats how I'm approaching the grow. Biggest mistake for new growers is too much. Too much LST. Too much water. Too much nutes. It's a weed. Let it be a pampered weed. Check out my Auto grow it might be helpful if you plan to grow autos. I will solve the the questions asked by new grower like what size pots work best for autos and what organic medium grows the best buds on a short grow cycle. 4 Gorilla Glue in 2 different pots and two different organic mediums. Two in the front are in Coco 3 and 5 gallon bags.

I wouldn't worry too much about the leaves right now. The branches will move, grow, and stretch as the plant matures. Once you're 4-5 weeks in, then re-visit this thought. Keep LSTing now and then until your plant has put on a bit more size. You're doing well.

Tie down to separate nodes, bend, fold and tuck fans to expose bud sites to maximum light.

I re-read and it was misleading, so I hit the edit button and defoliated
