Carbon Filter killing negative pressure/exhaust...why ?

I figured out my problem. This Vivosun filter is only set up to suck through... I guess there must be some kind of baffling inside to prevent back draft. I had it set up to blow out and it just wasn't working, so I pulled it out and flipped the booster fan around, and it pulls through no problem. Some changes are in store for the box...

How are your temps now with the intake tuned off?
Sorry for late reply, didn't see notification. My temps atm are 25-6 and negative pressure is going well, it is winter here hence why temps are dropped. during summer I'll have to get an air con but that's the norm for australian growers I'd think. Would be hard to keep grow room in good temps when outside is 30 degrees C +

There's high end led companies that have adapters that allow you to exhaust heat via the ducting system.

I have a suggestion on how you can draw through the filter with the limited space you have.. Stick the filter through the large top hole and leave the fan on the outside. Like this. i have 2x4's going across mine but thats just because i am too lazy to come up with something better looking. Just close the drawstrings around the middle of the two and you are good to go.20170529_103248.jpg
