carbon filter question

Been thinking of the carbon blankets. They wrap the filter like the white fluffy prefilter. Might order a couple for emergency measures.

Smell means I go to jail.

I just use the puffy white synthetic material from a fabric store. Your carbon filter should do the work and the outer layer is just to pick up coarse dust particles.

I push through the carbon, so the white filter is on the inside. It has no smell absorbing capacity. It's a moth catcher. They've gone further and incorporated carbon into that white filter.

Remember when you re-fill carbon with new product to blow it off outside or the dust may end up everywhere in your grow.

According to phresh the liner should be on the inside if pushing. You have to filter the dirt or it will clog the filter.

I filter incoming air and still have to throw my white predicted in the washer once every couple months.

I still think the main carbon filter best do the required work. They need to be replaced every few years.

Every few years? We're talking jail time if it fails. The absolute longest is a year. At 6-8 months I'm up in the attic doing a check.

It cannot smell. I can buy a filter or give a lot more money to the state, county, and city. Probation officer....

I always run more than 1 filter. Run a few and rotate the oldest one out each year or two. You want a good one turning over all the air in the area 'scrubbing'. You also want one on your exhaust. If you're concerned you probably need a second or a new filter.

Nah. I get a year or better out of my 4 inch ones. The big I inch should last years.

The best out there "mountain air" are rated for five years.

I got pics in my thread. I've shown where I rebuild, refill and even bake my carbon.

Its illegal here and I've had the police within 100 ft of my exhaust several times.

I date mine like a water heater. Write on the filter the date it was first put into service. Scent control is serious business. The filter size to my volume of growing is on par. There's no smell on the exhaust. Zero.

Picture this. Before I slide the sheet rock square covering the attic access. I'm sniffing ground coffee like a crack head. Flush the palate. Stick my head up and take a deep whiff.

More filters won't do me any good. Then I'd have more refills to buy. I'm not made of money.

Ill calm a bit. Deep breath. Buy the refill and have faith on the power of these things. It's abnormally expensive, otherwise.

You're crazy if you don't use an additional carbon for scrubbing, in a prohibited state, if your garden is larger than 1-2 lights.

There's no carpet in county jail. When they set your bond at $50,000 for 8 plants. Later reduce to $5,000 after the lab washes the dirt out the roots. 28 days solitary confinement cause I use to work for them.

It tends to make things crazy.

I'm doing two 300watt LED.

Did you see mine? I put a dann 8 x 24 in my little 2x4x6 cabinet.

I don't play around. Its illegal here and I've had my filter put to the test.

I've stood and talked to the police 30-40 foot from my exhaust. They been within a 100 foot a few times.

It shouldn't stink.

Mine doesn't. Get the book "worms eat my garbage" for good info.

Bury the scraps a bit and keep a layer of some type of mulch.

Mine doesn't stink a bit.
